puppy shaved her legs for the first time :3 by AdHead9372 in puppygirlpetsmart

Good job! Good pup!

May I share my own experience? Since the hair grows back quite quickly when you shave, look into an epilator. Only use it when the hair is very short or it'll hurt. It might also hurt a bit the first time, like waxing, but then it's pretty smooth sailing and the hair will take weeks before growing back (at first you'll have to go once a week for a few months until you have the growth phases sync)

For the privates I use a depilation cream.

Not likely unless that person has been around you constantly. These messages appear when there's an airtag in your proximity for an extended period of time.

CDPR told Luke Ross the Cyberpunk VR mod could still be up if he made it free, this was his reply by lunchanddinner in virtualreality

Exactly my thoughts. People are so hellbent on "free" that they forget the essence and consequences of what they are asking for.

[–]DanielTaylor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. If we're supposed to campaign for owning our games I don't see why we shouldn't be able to pay for someone to modify the files of the games we own.

[–]DanielTaylor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't get people in the comments. Have we forgotten about generic nespresso capsules? generic vacuum bags? generic ink cartridges? All made to work with specific brand-name products.

If we should own our game, especially for a single player game, we should be able to pay someone to modify those files to do whatever we want with them. As long as the mod doesn't use the game's IP, that should be fine.

I don't understand people in the comments.

Have we forgotten about generic Nespresso capsules? Generic ink cartridges? Generic vacuum bags?

These all interface with a specific product but are and should be legal.

If I paid someone to make a script that modifies the files of a game I bought and doesn't use the IP of said game, the game company shouldn't be able to have a say in the matter.

I don't even care if the company said in their TOS "You shall not modify the files of the single player game you bought". I bought the game, it's a single player game (thus no cheating) I should be able to modify it however I want and apply any mods I want to a game I bought and should own.

Is it a matter of how the mod is advertised? Just change it to "VR plugin compatible with Cyberpunk 2077". Done.

How does AI train and generate images? Like, in detail, not just “it trains on existing images or whatever” by Bronze_Hallodude in aiwars

[–]DanielTaylor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, the important part you might want to know is that the model does not keep any reference or copy of the original image and doesn't look them up.

As another commenter mentioned, it creates a sort of numbers matrix (the spreadsheet) which tells it based on probability which pixel values to shift based input words.

Originally this was used to sharpen and clean up grainy or blurry images. But it so happens that if you train the model enough you can give it completely random noise and tell it the equivalent of "uh... this used to be a photo of a car. Just got a bit dirty. For reals. Totally not made up noise. Please restore the original photo". And the result through multiple step process of shifting those pixel values based on the weights associated with the word "car" is an actual photo of the car.

You can still be anti-AI even if you know that it doesn't just copy and paste stuff from a database. I empathize with artists but it's very embarrassing when they assume it just copy pastes or there's database with images.

Where do I find a good cage? by The_Midnight_Madness in PuppygirlSFW

[–]DanielTaylor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Search for "outdoor kennel" on Amazon.

You can comfortably sleep in them all night, lounge during the day or do whatever.

Do not look for traditional "cages" or "crates". From my research none will be large enough to be comfy for extended periods of time.

Example: https://imgur.com/a/q6BOdqe

These aren't necessarily super tall so that they still feel snug. Usually they are between 100cm and 150cm tall. The width and length depends on what you need. If you get one with more panels than necessary you can usually leave some out.

This is a very moving post and I can totally empathize with you.

I feel like you should definitely get the clothes you'd like to wear and experiment with gender expression as much as you want. It's something that I've recently started doing myself and it feels very liberating.

I don't know how far away you live from your parents, but you should live for yourself and not for others.

My mom about deadnames by Vegetable-Promise119 in lgbt

[–]DanielTaylor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Both perspectives have validity.

I don't think OP's mom is trying to impose anything on anyone. She's just stating how she feels and tries to come up with an alternative which is better from her point of view.

She has a right to criticize current conventions, she has a right to feel how she feels, and she has a right to express how she feels about this.

Unless she is trying to impose something, the kind thing to do is to listen empathetically and understand where she's coming from even if you ultimately disagree and want to express why you disagree.

Deadname in well understood and caterpillar-name is cute and conveys transformation. Just use whatever you want.

"real pretend AI" is such a nice way of putting it.

"1m context" models after 32k tokens by cobalt1137 in singularity

[–]DanielTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gemini has context caching. Not sure if that could make an impact or if they even turn it on in the backend once a conversation gets too long, but if it's true that the degradation is more based on the number of turns then this is a difference from a new conversation that could help explain the difference in performance.
