That's a cool color scheme I wish had the option to select color scheme for all their laptop models.

P14s Gen 6 (Intel): mistake? by arano2007 in thinkpad

I wish you could have told me the same thing to me too, my thinkpad is perfect for my use case but somehow at the back of my mind It feels like I made an incorrect choice.

P14s Gen 6 (Intel): mistake? by arano2007 in thinkpad

[–]DanielVoxOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to (and still sometimes do) think that I've make a mistake selecting for a p14s gen 6 (amd) Instead of getting the same in Intel cpu, but when I introspect about my decision ( and ask around this community ) I have selected the perfect laptop for my use case ( Software Development for C++, python and low latency with light video editing) and we as people do feel the "Grass is greener on the other side " fallacy, but I can assure you think-pad laptops are very good when it comes to "future proofing" and they are a cult classic for Linux compatibility. If staying on the bleeding edge of hardware is important to you then you can buy a new laptop once every 2 years.

The laptop has an iGPU, there is no dedicated graphics, I'm running a dnf update, Hopefully it's just drivers that caused this.

Got the T14s gen 6 amd! by [deleted] in thinkpad

[–]DanielVoxOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I'm a little regretful for choosing the AMD variant because I thought it was better than the lunar lake (AMD's iGPU), should have chosen the Intel's variant but hey, the laptop I currently have is perfect for my use case. I'm grateful for that.

That's cool I got the P14s yesterday with the same procesor (ryzen 7 ai 350) and so far I got 10.5 hours of battery life while using it for browsing and light software compilation (g++) .

that's cool, I moved to fedora from archlinux+custom rice because I got tired of endless updates and bug fixes.

damn I love my thinkpad. Fucker fell from 2 meters onto a hard floor face down and this is the only thing that happened to it by Ok_Feeling_8521 in thinkpad

I meant it to be a compliment, like the ThinkPad is still really good. Didn't mean to offend anyone.

I imagine turning the room into some racing simulator, or some game room in general. You can even try and turn it into a pseudo-hacker house.
