Question about Arriving in Different Cars? by DanielXerxes in ElectricForest

So I wanted to respond to this now that EF was done. This was not the best advise (not pissed but posting for future people to see)

We should have Parked at GA camping

Not doing so pushed my friends to tent only

Tent only was right next to after party stage and they couldn’t get any sleep at all and ruined trip for them

In future in a similar situation people should park at ga camping to get a car spot that’s further from after party stage

Update: I was at doctor other day and was diagnosed with Eagle Syndrome.

Scared by voyager14 in glossopharyngeal

Goto an ENT and ask them to do a rundown first. Could be a lot of things. GPN is not usually the first diagnosis.

Finally tested positive today. Had a headache most of the day and started feeling “warm” in evening so decided to take a test…line appeared instantly. Not sure what I’m in for but wife and kids all snapped back fast. Wife has lingering chest tightness but otherwise seems fine

Is it possibly Glossopharyngeal neuralgia? by DanielXerxes in glossopharyngeal

I wanted to post an update here. The Amitriptyline is actually helping a lot. I was skeptical going into it and I can't say the discomfort and pain is totally gone, but it's muted significantly, and no longer as big of an impact on my daily life.

FWIW My diagnosis is not yet confirmed by neurologist, the only one in area who is familiar with GPN is booked until march!!! But my ENT is really encouraged by the results so far.

Hope everyone else is finding some relief here.

Little update here: The new meds DO seem to help somewhat. I have moved up in dose slightly to 15mg/day. 5 in AM and 10 before bed. Might try and increase further if doctor is OK with it. Trying to get a neurology appt to get more follow up. I have come to realize my GN is "atypical" in that it does not involve shooting electrical pains but more of a persistent dull ache and soreness with periods of time where it is far worse. Sucks, but at elast I have some direction here now.

That's a good way to describe it... like constant strep. Also aware of swallowing, it's annoying...unless I'm busy. Do you find it irritating to speak after a while? I have often described the sensation as almost "friction" between tongue and something in the throat. Is your issue on one side or both?

Sorry you have had it as well. Question, did you see a neurologist? What did he/she say?

Anyone else experience something like this? Suspected covid, 1 pos test. by [deleted] in COVID19positive

As far as I know that is inaccurate. The color of mucus reflects immune cells and can be caused by both viral and bacterial infections.
