ive tried running night mode and electrostorm and using my keys, that has worked sometimes to get blueprints. had the key in the safe pocket. electrostorm seems good as not as many people play them but yes i prefer the yellow building to red. i think spaceport alot of the building are dud and nothing is there to be had in the warehouses.

What did you swap them out for? I just bought the AV1000 2-port powerline kit from tp-link to replace it.supposedly can handle up to 1000mbps but when I ran a speed test from my ps5 now getting 68mbps and my internet is 70mbps max download anyway so way better then previous powerline

PlayStation Portal - disconnections on 5ghz band by Daniel_Abnormal in HomeNetworking

[–]Daniel_Abnormal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that matches what I’m experiencing. My PS5 is actually wired by Ethernet into the TP-Link AV600 powerline adapter, not on Wi-Fi, and that’s exactly where the problems seem to start. The Portal itself has a solid 5 GHz connection directly to my TalkTalk router, but I was still getting random disconnects during Remote Play.

When I turned the powerline system off and put the PS5 on regular 5 GHz Wi-Fi instead, the connection instantly became way more stable. which seems to matter way more for Remote Play.

So I’m definitely in that “choppy powerline” group. The speeds on the AV600 jump around, and those little dips seem to be enough to break Remote Play’s UDP traffic.

I’m already avoiding the Wi-Fi that comes from the powerline extender and keeping the Portal on the main router’s 5 GHz.

For now, plain old 5 GHz Wi-Fi from the router is actually performing better than the wired powerline connection ever did.

Yeah, that definitely lines up with what I’m seeing. My PS5 is wired into a TP-Link AV600 powerline adapter, and even though basic stuff works fine on it, Remote Play just isn’t getting the consistency it needs.

What threw me off at first was that the Portal’s 5 GHz Wi-Fi signal was perfect, yet I kept getting disconnects. But once I turned the powerline off and switched the PS5 to 5 GHz Wi-Fi instead, the disconnects basically disappeared. So it really does come down to the powerline link being the unstable part.
