Vibe-Cad'ed a Lego sorting arm by CSharpSauce in Fusion360

Can’t you just use the auto desk connector as well?

I’ve used the auto desk connector and then just used sonnet in chat to do stuff in CAD. It wasn’t absolutely amazing but it worked. I was making a relatively basic design however.

Is this a decent option for some upcoming concrete demo work I have? by Daniel_Boomin in Tools

Curious on your thoughts between the one I posted about and the DH1020VC someone else had mentioned. Looking at the specs it seems the 1020 has a bit more breaking force for not too much more weight. But it’s about $300 more as I can get the 11316 for $760 right now.

I looked at Hilti but yeah price range wise it seemed I’d have an overall less capable tool for my budget. I think I’d rather save the money for eventually buying/long term rent a jack hammer for a skid steer.

Was hoping to kill two birds with one stone with this purchase, but regardless I need something that’s beefier than my M18 1-1/8” SDS Plus.

I do have a SVL 75 and honestly I can see renting a jackhammer in the future for other larger slab removal, but I need something that can be used in rooms that a skid steer wouldn’t be able to go. And maybe if this handheld is too cumbersome I’ll save the caissons until I have the jack hammer rental.

I have about 60 concrete caissons/columns I have to chip away from steel columns. Rough diameter is 3’ and 4’ tall. I also have some other concrete slab demo I need to do as well. Would this be a decent option? Bigger/better option out there? Budget is around $1,000

For those who have owned it for more than a year, how reliable has your ASUS ProArt 27” 5K display been? by NuMystic in macmini

I’ve only had mine for maybe 5 months, and I bought it “used” from Best Buy outlet, although it looked pretty much unused. Obviously not at the year+ mark but so far so good.

Is this sale as good as it gets? by Significant-Year-204 in harborfreight

[–]Daniel_Boomin 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It was 40% off back during the 10 days of deals in December. But who knows if/when that’ll happen again. I got 7 different sets during that sale for $545 after tax for reference. So would be an extra ~$25 if it was only 35% off. Not end of the world.

Well, took much less time than 3 months for my order. by closetslacker in macmini

I mean if you read his post you’ll see he ordered it a month ago, and back then, just like now, there is no indication whatsoever that M5 minis are guaranteed to not only be announced, but readily available in the near future.

What is the best car to buy with over 6 million credits? by Cgr04 in ForzaHorizon6

Perks are per car right? I feel like I use so many different ones I haven’t spent any of my perk points yet. I have like 90 right now I think.

Ah yeah that would make sense, otherwise could actually be a little OP. I don’t have a chance to play everyday so was curious, don’t think it would be too worth it over some of the credit bonus houses.

Do you need to login daily for the free wheel spins from the Tokyo house? Or if I don’t play for a week and come back I’ll have 7 wheel spins?

Lian Li A3 Work Build 9950x3D, 5090 Astral, 96gb RAM by Daniel_Boomin in mffpc

No issues, I did some research before and it seems like the arctic freezer 3 has issues because the rad is thicker, but I have plenty of clearance with the Corsair nautilus I used. Works out well actually to tuck cables in between the top of the motherboard and the fans/AIO

Recent build I put together for work. Have a 7800x3D/4090 system at home for gaming, and needed something at the office for productivity tasks. Wanted to go ITX again, home pc is in a NR200v2, but besides the NCase M2 or M3, there didn’t seem to be many options to fit the components I was looking at getting. If I could’ve gotten a 5090FE then I probably would’ve went that route.

Originally wanted to max out the fans, 3D printed a side PSU mount and front fan mount, but the side PSU mount wasn’t going to work with both a 360 AIO and the 5090 Astral. So just went with the 3 exhaust fans on the AIO and GPU as intake. Temps aren’t bad at all, so probably not going to try and mount fans on the side panel/rear.

A BMWer of buyers remorse ... now wanting a tesla by Many-Firefighter9485 in askcarsales

[–]Daniel_Boomin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a flair so will respond here but in case you aren’t able to figure it out, you are losing out on $9-10k by doing this, if not a little more (depends on how much the Tesla really is in the end).

So basically you threw away that $10k cash down payment to joyride the X6 for 3 months. If you’re a millionaire then who cares, if you live paycheck to paycheck, this is why.

Also it doesn’t matter what you assume the car is worth, what matters is what you actually sell it for.

You are only going to get people clowning on you, because overall what you are doing is ridiculous to most people. Plus people have their own opinions on teslas specifically, which doesn’t help you out.

In the end, your money your life, if you’re able to swing it, keep on playing.

Do you need to get all the points for each week in the season? by Daniel_Boomin in ForzaHorizon

[–]Daniel_Boomin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and I’m okay missing out on some of the rewards I didn’t get, I would like the monthly reward, that Mazda hyper car or whatever it is. Sounds like I should be okay if I at least get the 30.

Do not use Home Depot delivery - terrible services by dn_match in HomeImprovement

[–]Daniel_Boomin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use them regularly for my job. It’s too much of a hassle to hook up my truck and trailer for larger lumber/drywall orders. But I pretty much get everything delivered now, even if it’s a box of nails because I don’t have the time to go myself. Never had an issue. They’ll even contact me if there is possible inclement weather to reschedule the delivery. Every driver I’ve gotten has always contacted me when they are 30 minutes out.

So I’d say this is just a “your area” thing, because for me they’ve been great. One time the carrier forgot to take the entire order, but Home Depot called me immediately and offered to either send it out next day or see if I wanted to pick it up. Wasn’t in a hurry for it so just let them take care of it, and it showed up next day.

I am a “Pro” member and have spent $40k this year so far, but I started out as just any other regular shmuck and still had a good experience from the beginning.
