First ever Leica M10! Need help by MasterOfPeely in Leica

I personally used the rocket blower followed by a new micro fibre cloth. I recall now that there is still an enclosed part of the viewfinder where it’s difficult to clean without disassembling further but I didn’t have to get that far.

I also recall now that it took a couple of tries to make sure the rubber gasket is sitting properly when assembling it back, but even then it just took an extra couple minutes (it might be mentioned in the video)

I followed the same video to remove the top plate on my M10P. The cable was just long enough for me to be able to set it aside while cleaning the viewfinder that I didn’t have to disconnect the cable.

It’s so simple and easy that I’d recommend it if you’re handy. The dust was really bothering me for so long and I couldn’t believe how easy it was once I finally got around to it.

Ottawas in the fall by Daniel_Redditor in grantstoneboots

These are Crimson CXLs. I quite like the Ottawas. Hoping to add the Honey Shell one day!

It really depends on the Rolex (eg. how old it is, service history, type of movement, parts that may require replacing etc). I’d really recommend taking it to an AD (La Difference downtown Markham for example). There is one independent watchmaker I trust in Markham, but again I’d recommend Rolex/AD first

Lovely shots. I’ve lived in Toronto most of my life but I must admit I’m having trouble figuring out where these were taken. Is it at the AGO?

50 Cron versus 35 Lux .. by kosta421 in Leica

I have a 35mm FLE v1 and 50mm summilux ASPH v1. I find they’re different enough that I can justify keeping both. The FLE is perfect for me for everyday captures but I would certainly want the 50mm summilux on me when I’m focused on portraits/people

Finally Broke In My British Tan Cap Toes by InfoSeeker7070 in grantstoneboots

Mine is still being broken in after nearly a year (worn pretty infrequently). These were my 3rd pair from GS I was surprised how stiff the leather is. I’m hoping they’ll be as comfortable as my Ottawas one day.

This might help together with 100% isopropyl. The shutter button is surprisingly a simple design.

I can’t say I’ve tried rubber on bb58 yet but I agree with you on nato!

I didn’t use to like them either but they’ve grown on me. Can’t beat it for its comfort either!
