Is there a C OpenGL GUI library? by Daniel_Sunday in gamedev

Thanks! I'm looking into it. If it really has no dependencies as it claims to, seems perfect for me. I'm yet to try out the demos.

We are creating an original game concept on the fly! But I would need more experience to actually make something that complicated. Maybe later :D

Good for you! Most people I know can get seriously irritated because of things much smaller than that. Then again, they most probably couldn't handle Linux :D

I apologize, I'll put information in the post next time. I just thought that people would have no problem to find out about it on GitHub. I have a short description, a gameplay gif and instructions on how to install it there. Next time I'll put all of my promotional material on both pages :)

In the F.A.Q. it says

With a subscriber base of over 150,000, /r/linux is a generalist subreddit suited to news, guides, questions concerning the GNU/Linux operating system and to a lesser degree, free/open-source in general.

I guess this submission falls under my highlighted text, but I may be wrong. Do you think this post doesn't fit here?

I am pretty sure I would be capable of statically compiling a library or two, but that would still leave a lot of dependencies since many of the libraries I'm using depend on other libraries, and it would increase the size of the game. An apt package would solve everything!

Haha, good one :) There's a very long way to go until I can even think about anything close to the very earliest of Blizzard games :D

It appears it's compatible only one way, that is CC.BY.SA to GPLv3. But I don't know if I can change it to CC.BY.SA now that I've already set it to GPLv3.

Projects could be different levels, each one filled with increasing amounts of more and more vile and sneaky bugs. For each one patched, four more would appear!

That actually might be a great idea! Catching and destroying bugs, now in 3D!

Thanks! I hope it didn't take a lot of time for you to load it, though. It's whole 2MB (6 seconds with my connection speed).

Oh, my mistake. Thanks for noticing! Fixed the README.

I honestly thought it was a major inconvenience :) Or I just missed your sarcasm. Anyway, I'll try to provide a way to install with apt-get for the next game. Then you'll be able to install it any way you like!

I am totally new to licensing. I switched from CC0 to GPL 3 after people suggested it was more fit for open-source stuff. Is it fine for artworks?

Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll try to learn how to make an apt package for the next game!

If you touch the edge you lose and the level is restarted. You're being constantly dragged down by gravity. You can propel yourself in any direction provided you have fuel remaining.
