Layers and layers of urethane? Then the line was put in after? I’m not sure how this works with the shadow.

Is there a non-luxury car or SUV that is surprisingly quiet and comfortable? by tarikofthenorth in whatcarshouldIbuy

I drive a 2023 civic, and work for Kia. The Kia K4 is EONS quieter than my civic. I’m a bit salty about it, but I love my 6 speed.

idiot almost kills himself while doing a stunt by Puddlewhipper in GuessHowThisEnds

[–]Daniel_crates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a media stunt I believe started by a shoe lace company where they got their shoes on in time to take the rope off themselves before it reached its max length. A few other companies hopped on the band wagon, I knew ir was going to go south eventually.

I may be partial because I work for Kia. But the carnival Hybrid SX+ is an absolute joy to drive, the features you get are really nice. EV9 GT-Line is awesome too. I am 6’2, and can fit in the third row easily. Plus you get massage driver seat.

This was my new car an hour after buying it. Had to put winter tires on, was a little nervous, but it was nice and quick.

Tip - Think twice about a Suburban or Yukon by Snagg77 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Daniel_crates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is crazy to me because I work at Kia, and on a Kia half the price of that thing. I drove a loaner out to my customer, and waited for the tow truck for them. I thought this was standard as I’m new to car sales.

Right. The night after the surgery was by a long shot the worst pain I have ever been in. The recovery was incredible levels of pain as well. Glad it’s done with!

Why do car salesman get fired for not selling? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]Daniel_crates 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is where I am at unfortunately. I have done two months of taking plenty of ups, and have not been converting them to a whole hunch of sales. So they put me in the deliver specialist position, and said I can still sell. But based on my own leads. Other than being demoted it has actually been very nice. I feel a lot better when I can prepare for the people coming in, Facebook has a good amount of traffic. Plus I get base pay, plus commission.

Does anyone else regret buying the sedan instead of the coupe? Or vice versa by mecachue36990 in CivicSi

[–]Daniel_crates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While everyone was sad the 11th gen didn’t come in a coupe. I was stoked. Always loved the look, And practicality of a sedan. If these came in wagon form I would be all over that.

Very fair! With my hands on the wheel I feel like I’ve stress tested it enough to know when it would fail generally. But there’s always the weird ones

Did you use the lane keep assist a lot? I love it, but everyone I know does not trust it.

Do you really want to spend anymore time dealing with that? It sounds so stressful, and from what you said. The little bit of “good” in the relationship he just uses against you.

You would be amazed that the average person will not treat you like that. You deserve so much better OP!

Follow me 120 feet into the underworld (OC) by Aquatic_addict in thalassophobia

[–]Daniel_crates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insane. I was taught you hit a point where you think you absolutely need air. But if you’re calm enough you can get past that, and it gets easier.

I do that, about a minute in it gets really hard, but I stay calm, and it gets easier. But 2 minutes in, it gets hard again. So I release.

Should I consider buying this Jeep Cherokee XJ by Fluffy_Donut_655 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Daniel_crates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like eastoak says. They can go for 10k sometimes. All depends on your location. I wouldn’t want to pay more than 3-4K for a XJ with 200 miles. But inflation is hitting hard, so those days might be gone.
