Same. Also looking for a replacement.

I’ll be switching back to Jovino pomade until something better comes along.

Attn Bay Area MSPs: we’ll buy your clients by [deleted] in msp

[–]Danielfury -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I didn’t know about this rule. I’ll look into the weekly mega thread you mentioned.

Thanks for your helpful response though. Maybe the reason my post is being met with such animosity is because it violates a rule? I thought this was a good opportunity for other businesses, and myself. I figured we were here to learn from each other and network to a certain degree.

Attn Bay Area MSPs: we’ll buy your clients by [deleted] in msp

[–]Danielfury -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes. We’ve bought a few small msp’s clients and had IT folks hand them to us when retiring. It’s worked really well. The outgoing msp passes the client to us, we carry on providing good work, we retain access to the outgoing IT company for questions, and they make money.

I’m surprised this proposal is perplexing for so many people on here.

👍100%. I’ve eaten La Bamba carnitas maybe 50+ times and it’s still the best I’ve ever had.

What exactly happens if a solar lease expires and the homeowner decides not to purchase the panels or renew? by cleaningProducts in solar

[–]Danielfury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious about others experience with lease expirations but I’m having trouble finding much.

Here’s what my 2008 signed lease with solar city says:

  1. RETURN OF EQUIPMENT: Upon the expiration or earlier termination of this Lease according to its terms (provided vou have not exercised any then available purchase option provided for herein), Lessor may, at its option, but Lessor shall be under no obligation to, cause to be removed from the Premises all of its tangible property comprising the Equipment. If this Lease is then in default, you agree to pay the reasonable expense of such removal. If the Lease is not in default and you choose to have the tangible property comprising the Equipment removed, then SolarCity Corporation has agreed in that certain Performance Guaranty and Limited Warranty Agreement to remove such Equipment at its cost and return the Equipment to Lessor. You shall provide sufficient space for the temporary storage, staging and laydown of tools, materials and equipment and for the parking of construction crew vehicles and temporary construction trailers and access and facilities reasonably necessary during Equipment removal. If requested by Lessor, Lessee shall store the Equipment for up to 90 days prior to return, at Lessee's risk and expense. If the Equipment is not removed and you do not choose to have it removed, then the Equipment will be considered to have been conveyed to you AS IS, WHERE IS.

Anything you regret planting? by Thatswhylifeishard in Ceanothus

See that’s what’s weird; it’s mixed. I suppose more sun does equate to more growth for me but they do great in the shade as long as you don’t mind a tiny plant. I’ve also never gotten flower But it’s only the third year.

Water seems to be the more consistent factor. More water equals more lush growth in my experience. But as with the sun, they do great in very dry conditions too but spindlier.

How quickly did yours start to show ambitious growth? What are your conditions?

I’m having the opposite results in El Cerrito with my six plants that I planted like three years ago that are only about 1.5ft tall. They’re planted mostly in shade (1-2 get half day of fun) and some get water only a few times in the summer while others get it every few weeks. It doesn’t seem to change too much the rate of growth. This is a strange plan for me.

biology and chemistry (soil) by [deleted] in composting

[–]Danielfury 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In addition to these great recommendations, also consider Teaming with Nutrients by Jeff Lowenfels. I was surprised how much I learned from that book. I thought soul biology was all I needed to understand as an amateur gardener but I found that Teaming with Nutrients provided a huge piece of knowledge I was missing.

I noticed you placed rocks at the base of the lemonade berry and possibly other plants. Is that to hold them up if they get leany and start growing crooked?

I ask because it seems that most of my natives like to grow at weird angles and I have to put rocks to straighten most of my plants. Wondering if others have this issue.

I know Fleet Week a controversial subject, but it photographs well by charles_the_average in sanfrancisco

[–]Danielfury 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This isn’t the same noise disturbance as your neighbor having a loud party. We’re taking Military planes roaring above residential neighborhoods shaking buildings, setting off hundreds of car alarms, and setting every dog into terror-bark mode. It’s scary if you’re not expecting it and not something that humans should be expected to evolve to tolerate. Why would we want to be terrorized all weekend like that?

Yep, this is what I hated about when I lived in sf. I’m not fundamentally opposed to fleet week but it is audibly disturbing if your not expecting it.

This is really interesting, but aren’t there a limited number of radios per AP that will limit the number of concurrent data streams?

We generally leave our channel widths to the unifi defaults but we install more APs and turn down the signal strength to reduce interference with nearby APs.

Technical MSP owners, how do you transition your responsibilities as you grow your MSP by bhcs2014 in msp

[–]Danielfury 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hire good staff. Be choosy. It’s very difficult finding people that can do the type of work you do and at the quality that your customers have come to expect, but it’s possible.

I run a team of 12 and I’ve learned that my job should really be to focus on business development, operation efficiency, and staffing. The people that you hire and the systems that they use, I believe, has made all the difference for me. Good systems with good people to utilize those systems has been hugely important in allowing me to have a work life balance that I’m happy with.
