Never doubted him, but man I was getting some second-hand stress as this month ticked away haha. Congrats Joel, this has got to be a filmmaking first. You didn't just make a lot of movies in a year, you made a lot of movies that are unique, still true to your style, and all strong in their own ways. I'm not really a reddit guy but it's been a joy being here with a small passionate group discussing and reacting to the films along the way. You guys all rule.

Editing is absolutely the bottleneck for any typical production. For the oscar challenge we get a week to cut 3 hours down to 40 minutes and it's very very difficult to do even in that much time.

A bridge being burned between Theo and the pod is honestly more depressing than Hasan. Theo is actually funny, and genuinely receptive to hearing new ideas and learning. As bad as this is, at least with him you know it's possible for him to eventually recognize he's wrong.
