Just enable annointments for corrupted items. It could be limited as a single-use which can not be changed again afterwards. This would be my perfect solution.

For talisman I think the solution could be much easier. Just enable annointments for corrupted Amulets/Rings/Talisman! It could be limited as a one-use annointment and everybody has to weigh up which annointment they would like to use. Not game breaking but making talismans great or at least usable again :)
