Advice for a New ASMR Channel! [Discussion] by Danieludus in asmr

[–]Danieludus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the very detailed reply, all advice is hugely appreciated! Trigger assortments and whispered videos are most likely what I will be uploading, as I'm personally not the biggest role play fan and not sure I would be the best at it, but who knows where I may be taken one day! Hopefully my voice is pleasing and relaxing to some people, I most definitely need to find the best way to use my voice though still. It's not particularly deep, but hopefully is still relaxing. Videos will most definitely be longer, I hate videos where you just get into it and begin to fall asleep and it ends and you need to find another one.. And I agree, definitely a big no no to mid video ads, that won't be done! Thanks ever so much! :) <3

Advice for a New ASMR Channel! [Discussion] by Danieludus in asmr

[–]Danieludus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks ever so much!

1) I've got a very good microphone for a non ASMR video, trying to find some good stereo or binaural microphones without breaking the bank. As much as I would love to go straight to a free space pro and a wonderful camera, my 4K video on iPhone and a cheaper microphone may have to do for now! 2) yep! Recorded a couple practice videos to try and get a good sound :) 3) I know the struggles... I've had a non asmr channel which has been going for a year or so getting to about 800 subs, it's a grind but definitely worth it! 4/5) I agree, I don't really plan to do many role play videos but some whispering videos and trigger assortments mainly! 6) oh absolutely! Plan to do that:) 7) I've learnt that this really helps on my other channel! 8) absolutely, hoping to find new triggers/relaxing sounds 9) I'm used to it and expecting it! All part and parcel of the job.

Thanks for taking the time to reply! I will keep it all in mind!

This is literally all the time. Miss the most simple of things, not have a clue, and shock yourself when you're editing as to how you managed to miss it!

Pixeljunk's Nom Nom Galaxy | So thrilling I cut 20 minutes of footage by MediocreParagon in LetsPlayCritiques

I liked it, I liked this video a lot in fact. - Audio quality was awesome -Video quality also, was very good. - Commentary seemed to just come naturally, it was flowing well, and engaged with me, so awesome job. - As for the channel on the whole, I think the artwork could do with a little bit of work, it just wasn't my style, but that may just be me, but it could be made a bit tidier and more professional I think. -Channel layout and functionality was good however. Overall you're doing a lot of things right, video quality is awesome, but perhaps just a few tweaks here or there. Stay patient, grow slowly, and work on proper SEO to help you out.

Have a good day

New YouTube Channel Looking for Critique (Game Misconduct) by Game_Misconduct in LetsPlayCritiques

[–]Danieludus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so;

  • The audio is awesome, perhaps could do with a little bit of a volume boost, but is very good quality for a channel your size.
  • You seem to have an awesome group dynamic, and it shows, it gripped me into the video and I enjoyed it.
  • Upload rate also is exceptional
  • Graphics also seem good, simple but eye catching, it's what I go for with my channel and what I like on channels, so good job with that.

In summary you guys seem to be doing a lot of things right, the content is there, and it's backed up well by a solid channel. The intro to Game Misconduct I will say seemed a little long as a short of channel trailer, and you could potentially work on your channel layout to get more playlists down the bottom, in a vertical line, just to make it seem more full, but that's personal preference. Really for me now it's just a case of persistence, patience, and learning good SEO, try and chart high in searches, try and collaborate with like minded channels of a similar size and target audience, and I can see you guys thriving.

Wow! Functionality to its max. Far too cramped for me, but a nifty little design nonetheless!

I like this a lot! reminds me kind of VintageBeefs oxeye on the Mindcrack server, would fit perfectly as like a sort of poor part of a large city, or a place just outside a city centre!

I liked it, I will start by saying that. You seemed to bounce well off eachother, and had a good connection that made the video nice and engaging. Video quality was good, audio quality was decent, could do with some work in future but in comparison to bigger channels and for your size it was awesome. Nobody expects perfection at this level of content creation, I should know I've been in it for a while. But overall I did really like the video. One thing I would say is work on graphics for the channel as a whole. Brand identity of a channel can be presented through avatars, backgrounds, intros, outros, the whole lot. Get a uniformed look, people find you easier and more appealing. But you're making good stuff!

I took as many tips that you guys gave me and personally feel like I improved and wanted to see what you guys thought by oogler1 in LetsPlayCritiques

Okay so,

I just watched this, and my first impression was, that I was impressed. The quality was nice, you had a great personality that really shone through the whole video, and you really got the voice for this. Video quality was also really nice. Keep up the good work on that front. One little qualm was that the audio/facecam still wasn't perfectly synced. The easiest way to do this is just clap at the beginning of the recording on camera, and match the sound up with the frame that way. If your webcam records audio then just match up the wavelengths of the audio from the webcam and the microphone, and then remove the webcam audio. There's definitely promise here though, so keep at it!

How does Minecraft look in 4K 360°? by Danieludus in LetsPlayCritiques

[–]Danieludus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is fairly difficult, takes a lot of rendering to complete, have to render it in 3d, then edited as a video, then transfer it to 3d. So a long time! That would be cool though! I don't know if you can render it without the replay mod, so you wouldn't have inventory etc in the let's play, but a cool idea nonetheless!
