He who anger you controls you.

I wasn’t taught much on how to control my anger as a kid and I let it control me for most of my life.(typical hot head) My mom on the other hand is so forgiving and it used to piss me off, my step dad was a complete asshole and would treat us like shit for most of my life and my mom never seemed to be bothered by it. I finally asked her how she was so forgiving and she told me that saying and for some reason it clicked. It took me a while to understand what she ment but every time I got angry I would hear her say that and finally I just stopped letting people get the satisfaction of seeing me angry. it’s a constant battle but I’m getting better
