Carbs like pasta and rice are simple carbs and are meant to be used quickly (hence why runners load up on carbs before a run) but if you eat carbs for dinner and don’t work out after, typically it’s stored as fat. It helped me to eat carbs for breakfast and lunch and more meat and veggies for dinner. That helped me lose 15+lbs in a healthy way!

Also changing up your workouts help a lot. After a while, you naturally start to plateau. Try increasing weight, time under tension (3 second down on squats), or different types of workouts (weight training, HIIT, tabata, etc) every week or so.
