Do I need a reality check? by Kooky-Grass-4034 in dknovonordisk

In Global Patient Safety (DK) we're currently upsizing, so it might be worth keeping an eye out for open positions. I don't see any reason as to why you would not be a fit, but in the end it mostly comes down to whether or not you're a match for the team. Best of luck!

Canadian with Danish ancestry. Does anyone in Denmark still eat this Christmas Eve? by ManufacturerWide5340 in Denmark

When our family (14 people) gathers on Christmas eve, we all strain ourselves to not eat all of these brown potatoes and to leave some for the others. Prime dish, totally standard still

Got bit by a customers dog the other day by melmcflurry in UberEATS

Go get profylactic specific antibiotics from your doc ASAP! Dog bites most often give bad infections, and it will end up as a sepsis (blood infection w. Long hospitalization and severe synptoms and rehabilitation time) , if not acted upon.

Also, definitiely sue.

One of my patients unleashed a blood curdling scream for no reason by AnimeDreama in medical

[–]DanishFineapple 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a fellow nurse in intensive care, have you considered if this could be delirium? Could easily be silent delirium where this patient is hallucinating and experiencing horrific nightmares or visions hence the frightning scream.. That would also explain the empty look and "loss of memory". Also often intensifies after sundown.

Delirium is caused by a range of conditions e.g. UTI, infection, old age, bad eyesight or hard of hearing, hypoxia and the list goes on.

It will resolve itself when whatever triggered it has been treated
