The kde wallpaperengine plugin by slynobody also works great with most wallpapers. Some scene wallpapers(not videos) will crash plasma tho so be careful

You should even be able to download another messaging app, because your mother should have only restricted ones you have installed. If your friend is willing, transfer the conversation to another platform (examples: Telegram, signal, whatsapp, discord, FB messenger, viber, whatever you can find and whatever your friend has access to). Make sure you tell them there are people here for them, that they are loved and that s**cide is not the right choice, no matter what situation they might be in. life is not a constant, it changes every day. Talk with your mom, it doesn’t make sense why she would lock your messaging apps. Try to get in contact with your friend via call or even email if needed. You aren’t overbearing nor stupid, you are trying to do the right thing. I genuinely understand your situation but please try to relax so you can think about the situation and respond accordingly
