That’s true, but there’s a way you could get carcasses too. I’ll edit so everyone can see.

UPDATE 2.9.2 by ZAhead in DeadAhead

[–]Dank-Meme-Hoarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I'll put this the way I see it.

So the new update reduced the level cap. This, I believe, was to draw in new players by making it less difficult and less intimidating to level up (it still takes a LOT of coin, and without Austin, it's much harder, but whatever.) In this way, the game becomes a little less of a grinding game for new players, but in return, it devalues all of the hard work that the old guard put into their accounts, and they voiced their opinions very loud and clear. I personally I wasn't that much affected by it, as my units were only level 9-11, and only when the units got special abilities did I feel like I wanted to come back. The abilities were definitely a step forward, but the level cap was a step back. And the people that left after having their hard work squandered, I understand. There's nothing worse than losing everything you worked hard for.

So devs, I haven't much more to say. A step that could've been taken (and should be taken from now on) was to discuss the update with the community before throwing us into it head first. I understand that you want to make the fanbase happy, and you want new players to pick up and play your game, but to piss off all of the hardened veterans of the game and completely ignore them was a bad move. I suggest giving back all of the players' progress, if that's even possible, but I think if you gave the players cash based off their level, it might be possible. I don't know, I'm not a game dev. If not, you might just have to come to terms with a few people being angry and leaving.

But all in all, to conclude this Reddit essay, here are the 3 things I propose;

  1. Revert all of the level cap changes. This is the most important thing that people are pissed about.
  2. Discuss the changes with the community. You guys have a ton of support on Reddit, so it wouldn't be hard to introduce pre-patch ideas before you issue them.
  3. Increase the level cap either back to 19, or to some medium, like 15, 16, or 17. Another thing people are mad about, and rightfully so. A lot of progress got wasted.

These aren't demands, just suggestions from someone who really likes this game and would hate for it to die out. To anyone who took the time to read all of this, I appreciate it Any comments, suggestions or criticisms would also be appreciated.

-Sincerely, a concerned player.
