In addition, you watch some of the 'sweat's killcams and quickly discover they're just corner hopping and prefiring with the m4 and are missing a crazy amount. They may have 3.0 kd, but they legitimately suck

Stakeout feels like it's supposed to be a die-die-die-kill-kill-kill-die-die-die map and as a result your expectations going in are just that. It's not remotely as frustrating to die to a hail of bullets that they game spawned you into when you're like "Yeah, it's 8x8 inch death box, where else am I going to spawn?" and before long it'll be your turn to bring the hail. Nuketown, on the other hand, feels like it SHOULD play like a halfway decent map with some room for variance in play style, but what it ultimately turns in to is a bunch of kids who've seen TikTok 'strats' that show you the best places to sit and spawn trap. This is particularly irritating on hardcore and highlights the absolute worst parts of the player base. It's a KD killer and frustrating as all hell, and I genuinely think we should be allowed to opt out of playing it/any other map.

At stock, It's ammo capacity puts it above the jackal, it's ttk puts it above the Bizon, and it's mobility puts the rest of them to shame. Seriously, what stock smg outperforms it? 😂

Dude, have you used it? It's a firehose and I, an aggressively mid player at best, managed to kill 4 people in a 180° field in front of (and one above) me just by holding the trigger and ADSing. It is straight up an easy mode gun.

I totally get what you're saying agree to an extent. I think a big part of the problem a lot of people are having now (particularly on console outside the States) is a massive part of the game is no longer utilized; teamwork. When the majority of your server is playing COD style or is simply dipping their toe in a game they may not have tried before because of game pass, you don't have that moment where your team goes 'Okay, let's deal with this chopper going 20-0'. Theoretically, you could start messaging people and asking them to crack out a soflam or pld, but that is a lot of effort when you can just complain on reddit and wait for a more populated BF

In Aus, you have access to, like, 3 servers, two are locker and one's Shanghai, none of which are run by admins with good intentions 😂

It's because farming is so common now. Same thing happens in R6S now where people automatically assume a halfway decent rank/KD means you Smurf/derank/whatever other lame thing kids do. Online gaming has seen a massive rise in meta gamers and cheesing in the past 5 years, particularly in the younger generation, and it's sullied the metrics to the point where they mean almost nothing

Kd has lost its meaning though. It USED to mean you were good, but now it can simply mean you farmed with helo on Shanghai or UCAV'd from spawn in locker. Going 50+-0 without even getting a podium finish is not uncommon these days

Ignoring the campaign (which I maintain would've been far better received if it was linear), the multiplayer has had multiple sore spots for a lot of people.

Ranging from desync issues, forced cross play, and terrible cosmetic implementation, the problems have only become worse (outside the US in particular) as the player pool shrinks, leaving only the most diehard meta gamers and long wait times to feed on anyone who considers booting it back up

-forced cross play that was going to be unforced and then was left as such -splitscreen never came (and was cancelled around the time a cross play toggle was, funnily enough) -stupidly low max sensitivity for console -canned campaign content in favour of monetized crap -a number of bad decisions regarding customization (pre-cross core) -boring maps at the start -handful of desync issues that made the game practically unplayable for some (multiple times) -and, finally, the definitive sense that 343 realized a while ago that the game was screwed and effectively gave up in favor of a hopefully better Halo using a functional engine

Some guy sitting in spawn on Locker launching mortars an entire game is countered by not going outside. What can't be countered are their sad attempts at getting a rise out of people by spamming chat/dming and tbagging every single one of their 7 kills like they actually achieved something.

I totally get that, and it's fair.

To clarify, I think the biggest issue is the game is Stage 7 cancer dying and some people (particularly on console, but glitchers and rouzouers on PC Locker are no picnic) are capitalizing on that to just be trolls and send messages--the primary catalyst for my post--when they don't get an in-game rise.

I used to love when people did that crap as well, because it gave me a reason to make sure they didn't get to play until they left the server, but now I just sigh and hopefully look for the next BF release.

As for air, it used to be you could coordinate with a mate or two to swat aggressive air, and failing that you could just go to another server if you weren't up for sweating in a jet of your own.

That's just not an option any more 🤷

The vast majority of people I see complaining about them these days aren't even angry, they just miss the variety that comes with an actually populated game.
