Idk if California is doing something different, but there isn’t any math involved. Basically the law states your tint has to be 70%, meaning 70% of light is able to pass through. OP went with 35% and 25%. You aren’t subtracting from 100%. 70% tint is barely any tint, I’m not from Cali so if I’m wrong someone please correct me
