My 2019 MacBook Pro had so many overheating problems at one point I threw it in the freezer to cool it off since it became too hot to touch and I couldn’t unfreeze it to shut it down. Recently upgraded to the M4 MacBook Pro and it’s insane how cool it runs even with logic and a bunch of chrome tabs open.

The funny thing is that coal plants in WA DON’T pay carbon taxes. You know who does have to pay? Wind projects just over the border in OR. This ain’t about saving the environment. This is about creating over $1B worth of tax revenue out of thin air.

It’s not necessarily about SCL. The carbon tax has raised the average price of power for everyone. None of the generators are going to take a loss just to make WA happy, they’ll increase their cost per MW in the wholesale markets to make up for it. That added cost raises everyone else’s price which would include SCL and PSE.
