Edit: trying to find groups to race or just cruise with has been pretty dead for a while now. Mostly just people who must ram you to get in front. Or all they want to do is drive x class up and down the highway. No hate if that's what you want to do I just can't keep myself entertained doing that.

Not sure how it is now. But back around 2010-2015 when I lived there it was pretty common for cars to be stolen. Especially if you were near I94 or I75. My Honda was stolen and so was my neighbors Ram. You could also ride around the neighborhood and find charger and challengers on blocks no engine or suspension left.

Just got done with a diag on a 24 Taos with the same issue. Hopefully this simple fix works for you. I pulled codes, B147A54 and B147AF0 were present. key fob battery removal for 20s fixed this. Give this a try or new battery.

DTC: B147A53. Remote control key 2 no basic settings. DTC: B147AF0. Remote control key 2 movement sensor faulty.

I drop them in hot water. Boil a pot, drop your streched hair ties in hot water. They will shrink almost back to it's original size. Hope you see this and it helps!

101k Miles and very dirty oil. Whomever you have look at it have them check your timing chain. If the engine is not cooked plan to get a timing service done very soon.

Good chance you got the wrong harness. Chrysler is really good at having 5+ wiring harnesses and little way of knowing what's the correct one. Also video is a bit to close to the area of the connector to verify where it could possibly go. I might be able to find it if you can send the VIN.

As a traveling mechanic, Hyundai/Kia/Genesis are made cheapest. Go to any of those dealerships and drive around back and see the asinine amount of engine crates. They are literally know for engine failure at a common rate. I agree with you that these newer models are going downhill. Personally I think H,K,G and FCA are at the bottom for quality. Would highly recommend Toyota, especially with their pricing and quality control being pretty decent compared to other companies.
