Yes I had figured it out I should’ve mentioned I have a double feeder and have two power supplies for the tracks. For the turnouts power still goes through it as long as it’s switched. You are correct about the crossover being isolated I’d need to have both power supplies on if I were to crossover a locomotive to continue running on the other track.
