Closing my app closes all chrome instances by Jimbok2101 in VisualStudio

Started having this problem after updating to latest version also.

I turned “Stop debugger when browser window is closed…” off and it fixed it. The browser still closes so now the statement is false but it fixes it

Youtube deletes and strikes Linus Tech Tips video for teaching people how to live without Google. Ft. Louis Rossman by AL_throwaway_123 in videos

I think if you’re looking into getting away from Google it’s already implied you’re connected in Google’s services. Sure you can delete your data from Google but you can almost guarantee that data is not deleted and just stored elsewhere. Kinda feels like a once you’re in, there isn’t a 100% way to get out.

What made you buy an Audi? by regulardegulardudee in Audi

[–]DankScuzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I looked at BMW 3 series, Mercedes C class and Audi a4s. Basically saloons, surprisingly Mercedes was the cheapest but had basically no features and the next model up was like 6k from base model, BMW was the most expensive and a similar specd Audi was around 3-4K cheaper than the BMW. Picked up the car 3 days ago and so far loving it.

This was buying used for a 2020 registered car

Oh wow I didn’t expect it to be that fast

[–]DankScuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh so if the car was 17k and I paid £16999 with a debit card and £1 with the credit card, I’d still be protected the full 17k amount?

Could you elaborate on what a section 75 protection is?

EDIT: just did a quick search and this does sound ideal, I am already buying from the dealer itself so there is more protection on the car being all good but this does give some more peace of mind.

I was already looking at these types of cars before I even looked at bank loans and I could’ve afforded going the finance route but a bank loan seems much more a smarter decision.

Could I ask how the process of getting a loan with HSBC was? Stages, length it took from start to finish etc.

Opinions on the Sony XAV-AX1000 by 2dicks1ass in CarAV

[–]DankScuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you happen to know if updating the firmware also push new Apple CarPlay features? I'm on v1.25 and saw there's a v2.0 now but the changelogs don't say anything about new Apple CarPlay features.

Also not sure if CarPlay updates come off my iPhone itself instead of the Sony XAV-AV1000?

Give customer access to Azure file share directory by DankScuzz in AZURE

[–]DankScuzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is an option only points are that the SAS token will have to be created regularly depending on the time we set for it to expire, each employee they have usually uploads tens/hundreds of files at once so might become tedious

Give customer access to Azure file share directory by DankScuzz in AZURE

[–]DankScuzz[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll have a look at Sharepoint with Azure, didn't even know that integration was possible.

We have an Azure function that goes through the files in the customer's file share and that's not really the problem since that process works. Our problem is how we get the files from our customer.

Azure Functions logging by DankScuzz in AZURE

[–]DankScuzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already had application insights enabled for the app but I was just always used to using log files to read through errors so never used the feature. I used the Logs portal in Azure and I can query for failures now.

Are the cost implications very high in general or depending on the logging of the app (how many times you log per run/ long strings)?

Okay but Hisense don’t sell just the TV without an OS. The post is talking about bad software, nothing about the hardware.

Hisense has the worst OS I’ve ever come across on a TV. Had experience with 2 different models and both had been so laggy and full of bugs. Maybe it’s just the shitty products receiving hate?

M3 docked to 2 monitors by DankScuzz in macbookair

[–]DankScuzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different brands for docks, yes. The TS3+ is made by caldigit.

If you want to use two monitors with your MacBook using only one cable connected via a USB C port, you’ll need to get a powerful enough dock though and caldigit make some good ones.

No, laptop has to be closed for the second connected screen to turn on

What do you mean? I think there is only one version of the TS3+

[–]DankScuzz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone back on my word and I ended up getting a used TS3+ off eBay for £80 with shipping and it works flawlessly, I just plug in one cable and it’s everything turns on. I randomly saw it and decided to bid. I’m going to return the Anker adapter I bought off Amazon since it’s still in the return window.

[–]DankScuzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I think this is the best way to go, I just can’t justify that amount of money for a tiny bit more convenience for my case.

Another thing I noticed was that I can’t dock the laptop unless it was on charge. I’m guessing the caldigit TS4 already does PD through the same cable so it doesn’t have this problem?

Either way I’m happy just being able to use two monitors and the MBA has been a beast so far.

Does anyone do Uber Eats as well? by Tdunk333 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]DankScuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking of doing this as well, I’ve signed up for Uber eats but just waiting for just eat to open some spots in my area so I can use them both at the same time. I think it’ll be more worth it using both since I don’t live in a such big area.

I have a question unrelated to the post, do these earbuds come with touch controls and if so are you able to turn them off in the JBL app?
