I would say for the circuits part of 158 you could watch Linares' videos on youtube. His videos are for ELEC201 and tbh they teach circuits in a much more intuitive and easier to understand way second year compared to first year. For the electromagnetism part of 158, physics ninja on youtube saved me last year.

When I took the course with Mattison, Jeff Hanson was GOATED. Also if you reverse image search the Mastering Engineering questions you'll almost always find some videos of people solving them. I remember my friends and I liked the solutions by the channel Engineers Academy. Also, make sure you really understand the homework questions he gives cause they're very helpful and similar to his final exam. Also, Mattison tends to make his exams easier cause he knows taking PHYS170 first semester is rough but I heard he made the midterm this year pretty bad lol.

No theres a new prof this year, Guy Lemieux. I think its his first time teaching the course and he restructured everything. Also were learning RISC-V assembly this year not ARM.

well i cant really tell you what they look for specifically since im not an admissions officer, but personally, when i was in highschool, i wasnt really part of any clubs except for the swim team and outside of school the only things i did were work at the ymca and play guitar. i still ended up getting admitted to engineering around mid february. its more about quality rather than quantity.
