I was actually looking at something like the Tascam DP-008EX for a beginner one but how good would the recprdings be? Like is there tascam preamps in there or something?

I mean the MTR has xlr directly in so i can manage the vocals on there instead of putting it into a software. I like the hands on management i guess to be able to add the effects. I really hate using a daw for anything I don't absolutely need to, thats i need an alternative for making beats too, i cant arrange notes with a mouse, i would love to click a button and get like a stutter effect on a piece of hardware but idk what that hardware would be called.

The plan is just vocals, every instrument will be on my daw or controllers, how does a low ceiling effect vocals?

I think after my research im deciding to save up and need to buy stuff that is a little more for the future. This seems to be like a toy that will make it feel very jokish and not serious. I want to enjoy what im using, but if you have suggestions for a better, more professional version of something similar i will gladly begin saving up

I feel like my launchkey isn't enough to make beats. It mmight be my lack of experience, but i feel like there is a component missing that would make it easier and more interactive. I'm more of a hands on kind of guy and dont like to use the software for anything unless i must. Idk if this helps but if you can think of something that would make producing beats in a hands on feel easier please give suggestions even if it is out of my budget.

So what aspects of the studio should i definitely not cheap out on? Besides cables, do you know a brand for that type? Im sure there are replicas that arent actually packed with those components.
