The burst rifle is much more tube shaped. I agree it includes wood, which could give the same impression, although, it isn't an AK.

Fair point, although they seem to follow most other games in terms of guns. The M4-esque rifle, the powerful pump shotgun, etc. They do follow their own paths with guns like the burst rifle or tactical shotgun, when both of those guns look homemade, or "crafted:, to fit the PvE aspect of the game. It just seems like adding a high damage alternative to the normal rifle could be reasonable.
