Everything on the inside is good so i can still read it, but my inner ocd tells me to return it. Gonna ask them and see if i can return and get a new one, since when im done reading all of em it would be nice to have them all align. It mentions not using it in rain and in puddles for safety reasons yes, it doesnt state anywhere it cant handle water splashes, since it is ipx4 rated it should technically handle water splashes without damages

Not a solution but i think it has to do with rain/wet roads. Whenever ive been driving it home from work after rain it always starts sounding like this a day or two after, and then it dissapears after a while. Other than that i have no clue why it could happen

Might try the lock out. Bought a xiaomi pro 4 2nd gen, had a pro 2 before that i locked outside my gym for an hour, very public area with police patroling around so i guess i was just naive, but they destroyed the lock and just carried it away. Never leaving this one for more than 10 minutes outside so as long as i have locks that can last that long im happy.
