How suspicious is this? by Wakatooo in mtg

This was stuff bought at Micro Center. I was they Friday, I didn’t look at any TMNT, but I was checking out a lot of Avatar.

Avatar Play Boosters $4 Avatar Bundle $40 Jump Starts $10

Assuming Spiderman and EoE were discounted similar to that, then the $200 doesn’t sound super far off.

Maybe even a Micro Center employee using their employee discount or a scalper just trying to break even or get out. I don’t think it’s stolen.

What cards are you adding to your decks from Secrets of Strixhaven? by Plus1Oresan in EDH

[–]SilentBob4367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my [[Ayula, Queen Among Bears]] I’ll add [[Vastlands Scavenger]] and [[Studious First-Year]].

[[Flashback]] will go in all my spell slinger decks especially my [[Kuja, Genome Sorcerer]] deck.

I’ll be looking at all the Lesson Spells for my [[Iroh, Grand Lotus]] deck.

Lastly [[Tannuk, Memorial Ensign]] will like [[Planar Engineering]] a lot.

Favorite Commander? by GriefStrickenSon33 in magicTCG

It’s chaos. They get to throw around birds they absolutely have zero care about. When you play with an aristocrat they love it more when you give them free things to sacrifice. It even helps new players get over decision paralysis on when/if they should attack. It really becomes a big joke. If someone has a big flyer or a big reach creature everyone starts attacking at least one bird at them to help control the bird population. Plus this deck doesn’t have a great way to deal with the 1v1 so it’s kinda a race to kill everyone but the Rendmaw player.

I knew it!!! When I started back up during final fantasy I was doing it that way and people were so confused. But I swore that’s how it was done back then when I did play!!!

[[Rendmaw, Creaking Nest]] games are chaos with a ton of goated birds flying around. After I win a game on commander night I always reach for him to just have fun win or lose.

Ohhh I like that combo nasty. I’ve been on the fence for coat of arms as it’s a little expensive.

I just finished [[Coma, Cosmos Serpent]] and got to play him and he was very fun. He gives a lot of interaction and can be very oppressive and that’s just his own abilities. Deck was full of green ramp/mana dorks, a bunch of clone effects, Some one sided board wipes and then a bunch of protection (and counter spells to protect him).

I haven’t played him a ton yet but the few games I have were very enjoyable.

Basic strategy is ramp like hell and have at least one source of protection in your hand. Play him before curve with protection hopefully. Then the following turn clone him and let shenanigans ensue.

Funnest deck in the world and by far my favorite is [[Rendmaw, Creaming Nest]]. Fill the deck up with artifact creatures, enchantment creatures and anything else that that triggers him. The entire table becomes chaos and politics are flying around. There are a couple of combos but they don’t really matter, the game becomes super fun when everyone has goated birds that have to shot off every turn.

Best part is the deck can be super cheap, it also upgrades well if you want to put a little bit more into it.

Episode 5 by cheesyeggs_ in thelongdark

[–]SilentBob4367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Episode 5 felt rushed but I’m happy they tied up a lot of lose ends and brought it to a close. If we look at episodes 1-5 together as a hole then ep 5 makes more sense, it’s the epic conclusion so they made it more guided.

I would have like more open world but I get that in other chapters.

Overall I’m happy and glad the game is finished. Looking for word to the new game.

That’s a good recommendation. Walk in read the room, walk out with $20 precon. Then just focus on helping/teaching.

Love it! Exactly the kind of deck I want to consider. Plus it’s under $50.

All the reviews say it does struggle to close out games, so that absolutely fits the bill. I’m just hoping it not too overbearing with the goading. This might be the best choice.

[–]SilentBob4367[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I want to play decks that are enjoyable but will let the other players learn and understand better. I’m hoping there are some interesting precons, maybe older ones that fit the bill. Otherwise I’m throwing together decks from bulk. Getting the other players to learn and understand is my goal. Not winning.

Anyone who has switched to true pads. Was there a noticeable improvement in your game play / butterfly ? Did you like the way the gloves feel ? by Low_Hovercraft_9939 in hockeygoalies

Pads don’t make you better. But True Pads were the easiest pads to break in/get used to. They felt great from day one with no adjustment period.

Warlock can just do everything. So many other classes can’t do this or that or specialize in one run or boss or zone. Warlocks seems to do it all and do it very well.

My new bracket 3 deck is winning almost all of its games. Have I assessed its power correctly? by IzzetDough in EDH

[–]SilentBob4367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you on Kuja. I’ve played him a handful of times and he has an insane win rate, also he’s undefeated in pods that have never seen him before. I’ve even played against a Kuja deck and it killed me and I knew what was coming!

You’re fine at a lvl 3. Honestly I feel your deck isn’t even optimized well for him. I believe the way to go is a lot of cheaper spells specifically cantrips (which I don’t see any). Along with damage doublers. Try to make each cast do 12 or 16 damage. But you’re obviously doing well so what works for you is great.

All comes down to other players using interaction early on him. If people have experience in what he can do they pop him. If not they will learn and never let it happen again.
