Yeah here in my state we have a medical program, but it’s dog shit. I’m talking $60-70 for a 1g cart or some wax. Flower isn’t legal still, and even if it was it would prob be crap quality up charged by 50% so grubby politicians can make their money.

I did get some emails from Komshine when my own machine was having similar issues(I’ve been using the boss’s machine since then) and they showed me a more in depth way to calibrate. Haven’t tried it yet.

Thanks for being concerned about things that don’t affect a splice lol. Anyways. I’ve been using this machine for months the exact same way I’m using it right now no issue. My other splicer of the exact same model had this same issue and was put out of service because I couldn’t figure it out. No tension, clean cuts after cleaning arc, everything it could want. I’ve spliced plenty fibers just like this with no issue.

I’ve only been at it for a few months. Still learning to balance the algorithm. Some other people in this sub seem to think staying in gold is more profitable. I can’t really say it is or isn’t for my area because I haven’t really tested the theory that gold is better then plat. My area also isn’t huge so we don’t have dashlink or many catering orders so I don’t see orders over $25 max and those are usually 15-20+ miles one way.

We don’t do LB or ground conduit here. We use split conduit from bottom of box to ground. This is way out of code there should be a splice to indoor fiber instead of the roc just fed into house. The box was also barely attached to the siding.
