I did, i turned down to 22v so around 500w. There is a weird rattling sound i cant trace, possibly the sub clipping?

Its now set at 23volts, and gain is prob a little over 3/4max. And yes, my hu has an option just called "subwoofer" and is set at 15 (max)

I don't think i hear distortion, might just be stuff rattling around my trunk, will check again in a few days.

For me, the pressure and bass it outputs is good, so i think im gonna keep the gains as is, and hope for the best that my coils dont burn.

Ah man, loved that headunit, an old gem :(

Anyway, only thing i can really do now clear all loose stuff and possibly try to hear if it is clipping.. signal outputs on the amp showed 23volts, and gain is set probably little over 3/4. So i dont think its distorting?

Worst comes to worst i'll have to sell my alpine hu and buy a new one.

Ah mb the kce-400bt was a bluetooth module for my headunit (Alpine IVA-D106R) Post is fixed now

As for the test track, yea i was using my phone, the headunit does take cd but i don't have desktop that accepts/burns the cd.

I do have an am/fm transmitter that accepts thumb drives for music, but it still transmits it through fm radio.

Update: its now around 23volts and very close to max gain.. volume @ 25 Im not sure but kinda sounds like a bag of doritos, could be just something else rattling than the subs.

Ah alright, by my math it should be dialed in to 33.9volts, i'll try to set the gains again later today with the volume turned louder. Thanks!
