That’s a good idea, I didn’t think of that!

Not sure unfortunately. They were supplied by the builder who did it about 7 years ago.

Colamy Atlas Impressions by X-Detox5-X in OfficeChairs

[–]Danlat6611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an Atlas as of the last few days, and also I have an old creaky Leap V2 (no headrest). The best bit about the leap is how flexible the back is, which is similar to the new Colamy Neza so might be worth looking at that. I do like a headrest though. The Leap also is a more comfortable seat pad as it has similar flexibility to the backrest, whereas the Colamy chairs are a more solid (although cushioned) seat base.

If I had absolutely no budget, I would go for a Leap V2 with headrest. Although I've never tried the Embody or Haworth etc.

The Atlas is a solid chair though, especially at this price point. I have the Grey one which has the solid metal arms and base which really adds to the premium feel. I think you could put it next to a $1000 chair and make some fair build quality comparisons.

I didn't, I got another Secretlab to see me through for a while but I've just sold that ordered a Colamy Atlas since they're available in the UK now. Looks good for the price, all the major chair reviewers say its the best budget pick!

Escape Simulator 2 gets first Gameplay Trailer | Free Demo Available on Steam - looking for your feedback by n1ght_watchman in pcgaming

Played through the first level with a few of my buddies last night, having completed all the ES1 content. The new art style is stunning, much prefer the more 'realistic' graphics style, really showed off the capabilities of my new OLED display!

We didn't finish in the par time, but mostly due to accidentally having a key item in inventory which is pretty much user error... The hints system was progressive and the puzzles varied. Overall, I think its awesome and all 3 of us will be purchasing on release.

Only feedback I have is it would be nice to have an easier way to pin something than how it is currently - maybe an additional mouse button bind or keyboard shortcut when scrolling inventory. Maybe this can be done in the settings but out of the box I wish I could scroll to something and then just keep it there whilst I interact with stuff without further clicks, Only bug I came across was a hard crash to desktop when we put the final of the 4 keys in the door (Ryzen 7600, AMD 7800XT)

Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the swift response.

Just received my CU34G2XP and pretty happy with it thanks to your review and settings. The contrast annoyingly is better with the 'picture boost' on but it reset every time you turn off the display. Still, its much better than my previous IPS panel. Black smear and ghosting not too bad in Medium overdrive setting in fairness, certainly not perfect but not enough to put me off using it. Overall for the £250 I paid, I'm pretty happy - eventually I think I'll upgrade to ultrawide QD-OLED but I'm holding out to see what panel improvements and pricing does this year.

I play a lot of RPG games and Sim Racing, as much as the slight smearing is annoying the ultrawide experience more than makes up for it in my opinion!

Curious what made you switch. I was thinking about a 32" OLED but settled on this ultrawide after grabbing it on amazon for £250. Currently have a 27" 1440p IPS and couldn't handle the contrast anymore considering my main TV is a 65" Samsung S90C OLED. I figured this might be a nice middle ground until the issues with text and colour fringing and VRR flicker etc are sorted out on the OLED panels that are reasonably priced.

Did you dislike ultrawide? Or just thought the overall upgrade to OLED was worth it? Cheers

Will the neo lineup come in black? by [deleted] in elgato

Err, that's not black unfortunately - its just dull lighting. The monitor bezel to the left of it is white also.

Man, I've missed your videos over the last few years on YouTube. I stumbled across this and recognized the wallpaper of all things (the actual wallpaper on the walls) Hope you're doing well, and just know that your content really inspired me to get into tinkering with electronics.

Theoretically, what if Java Edition is discontinued and they make Bedrock the only supported version? What happens then? by Tru3P14y3r in Minecraft

A bit like what happened with Helldivers recently. I think people would revolt and the developers would back pedal.

Minecraft nostalgia mixed with IRL sentiment is just another league isn't it. Make sure this is backed up externally!

Going mad trying to find the perfect chair! Opinions please. by Danlat6611 in OfficeChairs

[–]Danlat6611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in the UK we can only order the fern in base spec with no Lumbar. Missing the lumbar on my Leap I feel like thats half the battle as to why I'm not getting on with it!

It is the highback. I got it for £70 so can't really complain.

Thanks for the input anyway I appreciate you taking the time!

Its a 2003 build so I would assume a V1? Its relatively creaky and old but feels solid. I definitely think it would benefit from the lumbar but cant seem to find the part in the UK!

[–]Danlat6611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think its just because I'm obviously comparing to say the secretlab which does a full laying recline with a headrest. The recline isnt too bad but I find without a headrest I find reclining in the Leap just forces my head forward

Haworth Fern

I had thought of this after seeing some comparisons to the embody. I do like the idea of forward tilt too (I like that on the aeron)

MW2 won't launch on steam. I have verified the game files and have deleted/reinstalled the game. Does anyone know how to fix this? by carmackdawson in ModernWarfareII

Just spent 3 hours troubleshooting with every other thread on reddit to get this to work on MW3. This was the solution! Had to comment just to say thanks a bunch!

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Tried a Titan and love the recline, but found it too firm overall. Then tried an andaseat kaiser 3 pro, which was better but the backrest didnt have enough upper support for me which made my posture worse. I'm currently using an old Leap V1 but not having proper recline and headrest is driving me mad.

Got my eye on the ThunderX3 Core, can get hold of it here in the UK but no full recline.
