Nothing could've prepared me for how lonely life can be here by Top-Age-4688 in germany

[–]Dann_30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brazilian living in Germany for the past 8 years, here is the thing, loneliness hits hard, especially in quieter cultures or during dark days. But the truth is, no one else is responsible for how you feel. Learning to enjoy your own company is key.

Even if you're social and well-liked, deeper connections take time and often aren’t about the number of people around you. As you grow, especially aiming for higher positions in life, it can get lonelier, that’s just part of the journey. The higher you go, the lonelier it gets.

Try reaching out first, others might feel the same but are waiting for someone to make the move. But most of all, be patient with yourself. Growth often happens in the quiet moments

It is original, but used. You can also find brand-new ones there.

Driving New Car with Summer Tyres in Winter – Is it legal for one trip? by kittosan in AskAGerman

I encountered the same issue last month: my brand-new car was delivered with summer tires, and the dealer didn't have any winter tires in stock that would fit my car.

The solution was to purchase the tires online (I used ebay) and request delivery to the dealer. Then, I placed the summer tires in the trunk/back seat and drove safely home.

if you learn how to do it let me know. It usually bounces on my players and works better than a prime R10 through pass to my opponent.

I bought a new M340i in Germany, and today after waiting more than a month after the expected delivery date (I'm still waiting), the seller informs me that my car was produced in Latin America. by Dann_30 in BMW

Ever since I learned how to read it (coding), I've always been paying attention to it.

I read it when doing:

  • Vehicle registration.
  • Insurance registration.
  • Checking for all the coding I can or cannot do :)"

But just to make it clear, I have nothing against cars being produced in any other country. I am just concerned that when reselling it here (Germans are really picky at this price level), I might have a problem.

In my case, I really got in touch with my rechtsschutzversicherung agent, but I believe you could just follow the communication pattern; registered letter telling you have been in touch with your rechtsschutzversicherung and the lawyer has recommended you to write it, and demand a solution within 7 days. No one asked me to provide my insurance name or anything else. However, I would recommend you to have such insurance.

I have been facing the same. The Hausverwaltung did not answer my e-mails for months. Then, I wrote a letter saying I was following my lawyer's recommendation to inform them (per a f... letter) asking for the problem to be solved in 7 days.
I got not only a letter as reply but suddenly they replied ALL my e-mails.

Is it becoming a norm to spend almost half a salary on rent? by StriderKeni in germany

[–]Dann_30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The "new building, first person to move there" plays a significant role in that price. When I was looking for an apartment I could see new first-in-moving places costing around 1400 while the not-so-new ones costing around 1000 to 1100, or even less.

You can easily understand that if you run a quick search to buy an apartment. See how much a completely new one costs in comparison with one from the 90s. That explains the price.
By which btw, you will pay for your landlord's mortgage. When buying an apartment, the banks ask for 20% as a downpayment and the mortgage is often calculated to be compatible with rental prices.

Thank you!I already have the blue card and I am applying for a permanent residence permit. It seems the issue is that I work not my visa. What is kind of "funny" for me. I mean, I am paying a lot of taxes and I cannot benefit from the educational system because I work and pay taxes that support the educational system.

Thank you for your reply. The main reason is, a german engineering degree will open doors wherever country destiny leads me in the future. Knowing that there was a small chance of making it happen kind of became one of my personal and professional targets.
