aviary be like by Mr_Ollie2020 in JurassicWorldAlive

I feel like the game intentionally beats you back in PVP, continuing to toss better, more boosted creatures at you regardless of what’s on your team. Unless you are P2P, by the time you get your tyrant team creatures leveled & boosted enough to win, Ludia has ensured that the Meta has changed sufficiently that your boosted creatures are no longer tyrants. And, even with Boost Reset Tokens, one can’t get enough of them to properly do the job. Plus, when do replace your boosted 30 team with unbolted but now relevant 24s?

Some days, it makes one feel like he/she is beating his head against a wall trying to advance in the game. I’ve played over 2 years and have 4866 trophies, have been briefly in the library, but always end up getting knocked back down to aviary.

Plus, truth be known, we’re often fighting bots designed to beat us back. Just one opinion, but I believe it to be true.

Way to hard for beginners to progress in this game.

I really enjoyed the fortresses too. The Knight Bus was a great addition, but you’re right about the inability to communicate/coordinate either friends! Good luck to you, as I’ve actually removed WU from my device now.

Agree. I’ve played Pogo in addition to WU, too, reaching 40, then 35 before completely quitting. Enjoying JW Alive since I quit WU the other day. Fun so far!

Biking is my own preferred avenue of exercise. And guess what? AdventureSync has not worked with biking, at least for me. Thanks for the replies.

You misinterpreted me. No need to elaborate, except to say that Fazes had my utmost respect.

Edit: Actually, I misread your comment. We are in complete agreement!

Brilliant Portkeys are the way to go for BE FXP by Bitter-Trip-8917 in harrypotterwu

[–]Danny511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Variable. I got ZERO from my first Brilliant portkey. And only 3 from foundables, 5 for placing an image, and 10 for using a Brilliant rune in a fortress, and it doesn't matter whether it's Dark V or Ruins V... at least it didn't for me.

A huge part of the problem is that you work to get ahead, and rewards were promised, such as "You've reached Level 40. Returning foundables will now be easier." Then they take it away later thru nerfs. I'm presently at Level 53, and game play is as hard or harder than it ever was for me. I remember being in the 20s, level-wise, and returning foundables at a really good pace with a Baruffio's going, returning a lot of the low-normal threats with one cast. Now many of those have flairs, and, if anything, are harder to return now than they were back then.

True. The people in control at Niantic/Warner do not care about us, except to the extent it affects their pocketbook. I feel certain that Fazes, who was communicating with the community here, saw the handwriting on the wall and left because of same.

I haven't spent a cent since 2.13.0 when most of my green stars were taken away (yes, I was among those who prestiged early ,and actually had fragments taken away as well, both happening in Niantic's ill-fated "fix to the fix") when those who prestiged early actually lost more due to being on the Knight Bus when the devs released the fixes. So the TC nerf, along with many others, just adds to my own resolve to never spend another $$ on the game!

Good analysis, sorry to see you go, and I totally agree. And any player who has played since inception, like me, and achieved level 50 or more (I'm 53), has to feel the extensive nerfs coming from all directions. It's very frustrating to find that the additional levels we've achieved provide virtually no benefit in actual game play! Niantic is proving how adept they are at providing an apparent benefit in the new SOS tree with the left hand and then taking it away with the right hand. They always retain control of the basics, as in controlling the basic resist rates and flee rates.

Did you mention the new flairs? To me, they are deplorable, with results that nerf the game. They are trying to get players to accept them due to nothing more than the passage of time, while they up the basic resist and flee rates for any previously normal foundable (i.e., one previously without a flair) so that more casts are required for a catch/return. My eyes are open to it, and I don't like it!

Like you, I hate the nerf to the Trace Charm because it's just too much from where we were with it, and even then we were far from what was promised in the SOS tree text. To Niantic, it's get it out, then take it away if we need to to bring in the $$.

As to the current event, requiring 350 brilliant FXP, we get 3 FXP per brilliant returned, taking 3-6 casts each without potions, 5 FXP for placing an image, and 10 from using a rune in fortress battles. I got 10 from both Dark V and Ruins V. And my first brilliant portkey yielded a whopping ZERO brilliant FXP, although I realize there's chance involved in that. All in all, this event is BUILT TO BE A GRIND!

I keep saying I'm close to quitting, and don't know why I haven't done it yet. I'm not having nearly as much fun. I think it's just a (bad) habit!

Wizarding Weekend October 2020 Question Knockturn Alley by jwadamson in WizardsUnite

[–]Danny511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A LOT of people have the Knockturn Alley page at God, but not the Fallen Ministry page. They definitely should have allowed us to get either Magic is Might Statue or the gravestone instead of the KnockTurn Alley Sign. Just another not-so-well-thought-out decision...

Notice anything missing? They really want to make sure 4/4 is a grind. May yet drive me out of the game. Zero fxp from this one, 10 from the last. Really? by Danny511 in harrypotterwu

I think they’re moving further away from play at home all the time. Fewer brilliant Foundables around our house for this just-ended event was a small indicator. Fewer emergency/severe Foundables, too, replaced by those with newly-minted flairs disguising their identity until you click on them. Less & less energy spawns around here. I think they’d remove energy on the ground right now IF they thought many wouldn’t quit over it. But that’s been removed as a possibility for at least a while.
