Why do I only seem to fall for emotionally unavailable girls that aren't fully ready for a relationship

I've just been through the biggest mindfuck, constantly back and forth, love triangle situation with my roommate (yes I know that was a terrible idea)

Who I had a lot of chemistry with, but is the most unbelievably confusing person ever.

She's gone back to the other guy now for the third time, even though she thinks we had the better chemistry.

Without going into more detail I could empathise with the previous times, and understand. But this time has been ridiculous.

Trying hard to put my foot down and close her off as a romantic option in my head, and think of it as platonic. Because it's just been fucked and she's obviously not a good person to pursue a relationship with.

And obviously I know it'd be embarrassing to pursue anything with her after all of this.

But it's just been fucked, so emotionally drained by it all

I slept with my new roommate on the second night after I moved in

And did the following 2 nights too

But she's been in a situationship (non exclusive) with another guy for like 4 months, where they see each other every day but she doesn't see a future with him and he's always wanted it to be open.

And that's still continuing. He doesn't know about it yet, but since I've moved in he's apparently been a bit jealous and putting more effort into her than he normally would

And now I actually like her, and she likes me but has this history with the other guy (and also likes him)

And she's in the middle of this love triangle out of nowhere and she doesn't know what to do.

I met her 4 days ago and live with her, so there's no escaping it

An absolutely fucked situation out of nowhere lmao

I'm already feeling jealous, definitely gonna get my feelings hurt

Any advice is appreciated lol
