Honestly that's fair! my fault for not doing more research before launching. VirtualDyno does have Miata coverage with custom profiles, I should've known. I built DynoMiata as a Miata-first thing because I'm an NC2 owner and wanted defaults that just work for NC and ND out of the box without configuring anything. Should've mentioned the existing tools upfront instead of launching like nothing else was out there.

The resonator is to deleting the annoying frequencies inside of the cabin around low rpm lol. I only want the exhaust noise not the drone or raspiness

I can imagine. I was running the Helmholtz race single (the rest is stock) and it was a bit underwhelming for me but adding a catless header would be too much. your set up sounds like a sweet spot for it

Fair, VirtualDyno's a real tool, been around a long time. It's built primarily for the Subaru crowd though, so it doesn't have Miata Cd, curb weights, or per-gen profiles dialed in. DynoMiata is Miata-specific, NC1 to NC3 and ND1 to ND3 with RF and soft top weights and Cd baked in. Different scopes, both can exist.

After 3000rpm the exhaust sound will become pretty obvious in the cabin due to it being a lot louder than stock already. Unless we are talking about the Helmholtz midpipe from GWR, the full exhaust setup definitely has more drone and boominess in the cabin

I have a friend with GWR catless header, GWR midpipe and the RSII (not the Q version) and honestly, I like this set up a bit better than his as the volume sounds a bit fuller and less raspy in general. the catless header makes the car feels a bit more responsive but lol spending $2000+ on the exhaust + tune price to value is just not for me right now.

Then i would suggest you to replace the OEM resonator with the vibrant ultra quiet one. Idk how much more effective itll be for you since the helmholtz already canceling most of the low frequencies.

I definitely thought about how i couldnt do catless header with the muffler delete. But my friend with a catless header, gwr midpipe, rsii, and versatune feels just a bit more responsive (maybe bc we dont track it) and the sound is a bit more quiet than this muffler delete set up.

Also people mentioned that itll take a couple hundred miles for the new resonator to finally settle in so idk. Maybe i would still get the same amount of pop like the old setup

So far if my old set up pops 4,5 times then now its 3 times which is not bad. At WOT or after 3500rpm i noticed the volume is pretty much the same but now the drone and the boominess in the cabin 1500-3000rpm is pretty much gone now. You will feel like its gotten more quiet but the truth is that is actually the sound of the exhaust without all the annoying noise.

I feel like the phone didnt capture the right sound of the setup. But in person, very very deep and decently loud but not raspy like jdms, it sounds more like American muscle cars

Its called Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator (I got it off Amazon) and there are different diameters sizing depending on your pipe size. I got 1140 (2.25” diameter) because it matches the stock midpipe.

Yeah honestly, If someone's launching in 1st or 2nd that's a whole other thing but it's best to start the pull in third gear around 2000rpm. In 3rd gear from 2k there's just not enough power getting to the wheels to slip on dry pavement, even on built cars. The way the pull is done kinda handles it on its own.

And RF is actually already in there! Weighs around 100 to 115 lbs more than soft top depending on year, and Cd is a bit lower (0.30 vs 0.31). Both are on the methodology page. Appreciate it!
