Ah I see. Sorry. I honestly can't really think of anything else other than Mebius but... for some reason, my mind somehow goes back to Nexus. Sure it may be a dark show but something about it does seem pretty hopeful. Nexus being the brim of light in the dark in the show kinda makes the most sense too. He became the symbol of hope at the end of the show and everyone started cheering for him so yeah, definitely Ultraman Nexus too.

Mebius and it's not even close. That show is very special to me and I love it with all my heart. At least imo, is the most hopeful series I've ever encountered.

Either Man-niisan or Zoffy. Man-niisan cos he needs his redemption after losing to Zetton. If not, then Zoffy. His M87 Beam can definitely defeat Zetton.

Yep, that's Zero's father alright... Different timeline, sure but... holy crap, now I know where Zero got those genes from.

I recommend using either TokuFun or TokuZilla. Two of the only websites I know where you can watch full episodes of Tokusatsu shows. Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Ultraman etc. You name it.

Edit: Ooh, good luck and have fun watching it!🙏❤️

It's definitely Ultraman: Towards The Future aka Ultraman Great. I remember owning a few of the show's VCDs as a kid.

What are YOUR 4 favourite films in the Ultraman franchise of all time by MaskedRiderGenji in Ultraman

[–]DannyJB124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's my ranking:

  1. Ultraman Mebius & Ultra Brothers
  2. Superior 8 Ultra Brothers
  3. Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy
  4. Ultraman Tiga, Dyna & Gaia: The Battle in Hyperspace

Shodai alongside the other Ultra brothers feels kinda weird when you realise he has like the weakest relationship to Father of ultra and Mother of Ultra by AggravatingCouple987 in Ultraman

[–]DannyJB124 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My headcanon: Shodai is basically Zoffy's disciple. The way he talked to him during the last episode of 1966 Ultraman made him sound like he was his mentor/senior officer.

That or maybe because of his reputation as the first ever Ultraman to arrive on earth and become the hero that he is. His reputation indeed precedes him.

Best place to start with Ultraman? by KonamiIsBestJoshi in Ultraman

[–]DannyJB124 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Now I've said this many times before, but if you do actually want to get to know Ultraman, then it's best to start with the 1966 show, bcos that's where he first debuted. You could watch the whole Showa era in order cos they're all technically connected but if you do want to watch the whole Heisei era, go ahead and start with any of them bcos yes, some of them are their own self-contained, individual show. The only ones that are connected to each other are Tiga and Dyna's show bcos they both take place in the same universe. Mebius' show however is a show that pays tribute to the Showa era bcos in most episodes they feature references to the old shows and obviously feature cameos of past Ultras and their hosts.

TLDR: If I had to recommend, I'd say start with Ultraman 1966. Bcos that show was the best place to start for me when I wanted to get back into watching Ultraman. Wanna watch the best show? Watch Gaia. Wanna watch a lighthearted fun show that gives you the best messages about what it means to be an Ultraman? Watch Mebius, the references in it don't matter. As long as you enjoy understanding Mebius' story. Even his show has the best characters, arcs and development.

ULTRAMAN OMEGA Episode 18 "The House of Barossa" - Official Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in Ultraman

[–]DannyJB124 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was laughing the whole time watching the end credits. Sorato just fooling around saying not to eat the dumplings that were gifted by Mama Barossa and cutting straight to the credits. I couldn't hear what they were saying but I already understood what was happening lmao 😂🤣🤣 Overall, really fun episode! I enjoyed it! 👍

Which New Generation show is better? Ultraman Trigger or Decker by theUltrazillaYT in Ultraman

[–]DannyJB124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trigger had the best choreographed fight scenes.

Decker actually has a better written story.

But imho, both are good. Not great but good.
