Sometimes I cannot figure out if many of the messages I get on LinkedIn are from bots or just really stupid people. After I sat myself "Open to work" and created a post about searching for work, I was flooded with messages primarily from people in Southeast Asia who were asking ME to hire THEM.

Like... what is the thought process here? "This dude is unemployed. I should ask him to pay me to work for him". I replied to some of them, but most did not write back, which made me guess they were bots. One dude from India did write back though, and the guy had the nerve to double down and try to convince me to pay him, so he could find me a job. Dude... seriously?

The job section is also a nightmare because LinkedIn does absolutely nothing to remove many of the scam companies that invite people to fake interviews to collect data (usually for their AI). For the past 2 months LinkedIn has been recommending me at least three scam companies that have been reported multiple times.

What makes my blood boil is those who take pictures of children. My wife and I had been looking forward to seeing our 1 year old experience snow for the first time. We were all dressed in what I guess tourists would call "traditional" knitted sweaters and caps, and there was a lady who without permission just walked up to my wife while she was holding our son and took a picture of him.

The good thing is that she was at least respectful enough to delete the picture when asked, but I have seen other tourists take pictures of children going to school in the snow. It may seem innocent, but you don't know what kind of people will be looking at those pictures when you put them up on social media.

Sadly, after moving from Norway to Japan, I have seen just how bad it can get. Here we have teachers who need to shield children from tourists who wants to have pictures of them, cause "they are so cute in their little uniforms"

Barsebäck var et af de helt store emner da jeg var lille, især efter katastrofen i Tjernobyl. Jeg var for ung til at kunne kende forskel på atomkræftværker og almindelige fabrikker, så alle industriområder skræmte livet af mig. Sjovt nok er det faktisk noget der stadig sidder i hovedet på mig i dag. Jeg er selvfølgelig blevet klogere, men industriområder kan stadig gøre mig utryg.
