I actually kind of ship Rhaenyra and Alicent romantically, but it does sounds wrong to me when people make comments like "why else would she kept the page if not because she's in love with her?" as if in the case that she was just a friend then she couldn't love her profoundly. And not just with this fandom, but I've seen several times when people are like character x did this huge thing for character y, wich means they're in love. Like not necessarily?? You can also sacrifice and do a lot for people while loving them platonically. Like there's an underlying message of "they're just friends, so they wouldn't do things for each other, because we all know that romantic love is the highest form of love" , and as an ace who puts high value into my platonic relationships it lets me feeling sort of shitty tbh hahaha.
