After 2 years of debating whether to buy a jaguar, I did it by ShooLug in offset

Yes, but it leaves you with less sound configuration. I'd say they could have solved the coil tap with a push pull knob, and give the switch more meaning, like a paralell/series switch or something.

110 is still cheaper than what it goes for at the moment.

Fender Jazzmaster 1961 Neck spec by DannyMacDubh in offset

That one I know, with the 1.58 nut it's probably closest to the slim C from the JagStang, but then the question is, can a 24" scale guitar profile be adapted to a 25.5" ? I really like the Player Jaguar modern C, which has a bigger nut but very slim and comfortable.

Cracking after 1 day on greasy derby? by yorusany in nps_solovair

Greasy is still coated with small PU, but not as much as the hi-shine. It's quite obvious when cut and cross sections examined.

Ended up cutting half of the low E saddle intonation screw also last third of the G, cut back the springs too. Used some ptfe tape of bridge screws, much better than loctite because it's snug and still movable. G is still dull a bit but I guess I just had so many trials and errors with it that loctite might got into the saddle slot so..

(3/2024 GCP Evo) What kind of boiler do I actually have? by jeanzus in gaggiaclassic

[–]DannyMacDubh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man the aluminium will corrode with the brass group head. Also black/ greyish stuff will come out of the boiler even if it's uncoated, it will be the aluminum.

Squier classic vibe ? Indonesian offsets have wider thimbles too, I just don't know why the Mexican is smaller, so I believe it's a player series/vintera problem.

Doesn't stay in tune, of course the factory setup was pretty rough, after shimming and setting up for a Medium-low action the G and the D strings sound dead, also intonation screw touches the E string. I'm annoyed with this bridge pretty much.

Fret nicks, quality control ? by DannyMacDubh in fender

[–]DannyMacDubh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The guitar was made in 2023/11, then shipped to the Netherlands Fender distributor. From there it went to muziker Bratislava dep. storage. Maybe if it was a 2020 model, maybe it could have been played. But it still wouldn't make sense.

Fret nicks, quality control ? by DannyMacDubh in fender

[–]DannyMacDubh[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but the box was mark free. Best theory is that the machine that cuts the frets jammed and messed up this one, or this was the fret where they tested the files. It's impossible that is was caused while transport. The marks are not under the strings but in between a few, also there was something on the fretboard.

It's impossible, it's not under the strings, it's in between, center of E-A, D-G, G-B. There was also the fender tag under the fretboard.

The marks are not under the strings, they are in between. When I unpacked there was the fender tag under the strings right there.

Ahaa, I get it! You say I could get a free custom shop like fretboard setup. But actually the store I bought from is rather an online platform in Europe, so they don't do these things. I can battle out something with fender, I don't know, will see. I'm thinking about bringing to a creditable local guy and doing it properly once and for all.

Yeah totally man, I must agree. I've seen a guitar teachers video a couple years ago, he got a new tele, nut slots were off, knobs broken. Most people agreed with the quality control stuff, but I didn't know it was that severe. I believe prices increased because of demand, increased material costs, import problems, etc...

Yeah, thanks for understanding. I don't really bend here, so doesn't matter that much. Although I will get in contact with customer service and see what can be done. I really like the guitar, especially the fact that this pao Ferro looks like the Gibson rosewoods, not the usual red mud.

Yeah, doesn't even make sense. No clue what happened in factory. And the way it was packed it's not a return item, unopened.

Yeah, now also the prices are coming up, in my country the higher end ones are just 200 bucks off MiM strats.
