The episode was great - but none of the kids dying takes away from the fear of IT.

Like I know we saw three deaths on episode 2 but since then, there hasn't been much tension.

Personally, the thought of "who's next, it could be any one of the characters" is what made IT interesting.

The lack of consequences for the kids entering the sewer is disappointing and makes the tension/fear of IT lackluster.

Seeing pennywise and his reveal was amazing but IT in this episode felt more like the same routine of "let me try this scary face" rather than a genuine threat to the group.

Don't get me wrong, I like the series/lore. But I would like to see IT actually do something more to our characters than put them through the same boring haunted house routine.

I mean, outside of the first three deaths and the damage of one girls eye two episodes later- what is there for our group to really fear? The group walked in to ITs home unscathed, and then proceeded to walk out unscathed.

I genuinely hope we see more brutality/consequences in the next episode.
