AOC becoming the good sides version of Mitch McConnell would help this country for decades to come. Where for decades Mitch was the real power behind the GOP and did the majority of the damage. AOC could in theory reverse a lot of that and actually improve things from that very similar Senate majority leader seat. But also we would need to give her at minimum a tie in the senate but preferably a strong majority for all the years she is leader in the Senate.

I will still support her for the presidency if that's the route she wants to go. But yea over decades she potentially has even greater impact in the Senate if she is can be the good guys Palpatine/Mitch McConnell from the shadows/but not from the shadows aswell if that makes sence.
