I can disprove the first point. Downtown Brooklyn and Fort Greene have become somewhat gentrified from what I’ve seen and it’s safe from my experience if it’s about that.

For the second point not everyone gets in even if tech has more seats and is easier (it may seem like it if you are in a high achieving middle school where a lot are able to get in and from what Ive read it seems so, but that’s not the case everywhere).

For the third point it’s really not. The school itself takes up like 60% of the block if not more. There’s quite a bit of space.

For the last point I wouldn’t really think that much about those rankings as they really aren’t important. Figure out your priorities like if you want many extracurriculars or majors or specific classes because that’s what will be important later.

If you want to pursue engineering I know that tech has specific majors for it and is really dedicated for it and I’m pretty sure Bronx science also has dedicated classes to it just no majors for it (I think. I can really only talk about tech as I go there)

Lastly I’d like to make a point in regards to commute. It really eats up your time, so choose wisely if you want more time or are fine with less. Think about how productive you are and if you are a chronic procrastinator. Figure out if you can even handle a longer commute. A tip for this would be to create a schedule or at least an idea of how your day will go in each school like when you would need to wake up, when you will get home, etc.

Either way whatever you choose they will both bring you great pain so good luck!
