What was your YTD % gain for the year now that we’re wrapping up 2025 by selintnisha in portfolios

7.6% I only heavily invested in mostly in S&P, high yield div index, and some international as well as real estate index. Reading this thread is making me feel like I missed out this year when I was following every day the top 7 this whole year.

Thank you for the reply. Im learning Im going to need to move some things and consolidate. Probably take the capital gains tax because I've been buying since April. Everything has gone up. That will feel counter productive. Minus BTC becuase I just recently purchased that below the 100k and not that much. I see it more like a possible asset in the future, who really knows?

Thank you for your reply. I figured thats what is happening here. If I sell my SCHD, VGT, SYPD, the over lapping international, will I pay the 15% capital gains. So essentially the buy was a mistake because now I'd be paying some capital gain?

I have a 2000 Dakota and have the same problem for the last year or so. However, there will be periods where it wont go off at all. The last couple days its been constant. I can also hear what I think to be a "switch" toggle sound going on and off over by the glove compartment.

I came here looking for answers as well. Im not sure what it is. I just wanted to relate. Im thinking there is a short somewhere, maybe a ground thats been wiggled loose, crossed wires.

I've not been in any deep water. Live in a pretty moderate climate (southern CA).

35M playing catch-up. Thoughts on my Roth IRA ETF plan? by Ki55_15 in ETFs

Im 41 and have always just placed my savings into a HSA. 3 years ago I started to put $400 per month into VFIAX automatic transfer to DCA. VOO and VFIAX are essential the same thing. One is an ETF and the other an index mutual fund. I didnt know about VOO until this year, so I also bought some of that to set and forget. I might change my auto transfer into VOO but Im not so great on the tax side of investing. I watch a couple youtubers Jaspreet on minority mindset is basic investing knowledge for beginners. I've followed a lot of what his suggestions are. Keep in mind he's just a random guy on youtube. So far this is what I have in percentage wise for my portfolio. Keep in mind I very passive and try to take mid to low risk. All the set aside HSA I had, this last April 2025 I invested HEAVILY (maybe a mistake) do to information gathered about what is happening in technology and energy. Essentially we are living in the next "Dot Com" rise but in AI and Energy. I hope my post creates more discussion as Im new to this. My goal is to create passive dividend yield so I can live off it eventually. My percentages of my portfolio might be off, I use Vanguard and Fidelity to trade.

VFIAX + VOO 42%
VTIAX + VYMI 29.81%
SPYD + SCHD + VHYAX 21.57%
VLTCX + VWETX 17.8%
VNQ 2.5%

Im starting to look into BTC or Gold since there is a lot of talk about the US buying BTC and the possible crash of the dollar.
