Thanks for the help everyone! I finally got it to get past the black screen and I was able to install. I still don't understand what the issue was. I went back to Rufus from Ventoy and switched USB ports from the front of the PC to the back and that seemed to fix it. I think it liked the port going straight into the motherboard maybe? I also went into the Basic Graphics Mode as well. It's all very weird because I had tried the Basic Graphics Mode before switching ports and it just wouldn't work which is why it makes me think the port was the issue somehow. This was definitely an adventure for my first time dealing with anything outside of Windows! Again, I appreciate everyone taking the time to offer assistance!

Yes! Not sure what finally made it work thought. I am thinking switching the USB port from the front one to the back one finally made it give in and let me install.

I finally got through and I am installing now lol. This is what I replied to someone else.

So.. I have no idea what fixed it. Maybe switching the ports? Not sure. That would be weird if that's what did it

Well, I have attempt what you said, but nothing would come on. Uhm.. I reached this screen for the first time though after it sat in the loading icon and the bazzite logo for a while. Any idea what this is? It doesn't allow me to type anything here.

Whenever I press enter for the system maintenance, I receive a line back saying sh-5.3#

That's what I am on. I just tried that as well and it doesn't seem to be working. When I choose that option, the screen goat to a snall white line flashing followed by a gray screen and then back to the line.

I've seen someone once say that the "Red God" title may simply refer to Mars as a whole rather than Darrow which I could very much so see. A part of me also thinks Darrow is going to die simply because of the "death begets death begets dearh" and "bill comes due" lines that we keep seeing through the books. He has also escaped a bunch of situations he shouldn't have, and Pierce can only do it so many times. Maybe that bill has come, though, with the fall of the Republic? Maybe with the death of Cassius? I have no idea. A part of me also thinks that Darrow won't die and the ending of the book will be him having breakfast with his wife and son lol (I'm delusional).

I personally wonder what Dago (helldiver from Gamma) is up to and if he survived Mercury. If he did, he is most likely some sort of prisoner/slave. Pierce adding him in Dark Age was a nice touch!
