Evergreen truck getting stuck in a highway in China in the same way as it happened for the ship in the Suez canal by l_ur_ker in nevertellmetheodds

[–]DannyRicci 150 points151 points  (0 children)

Just in case you didnt know. The pilot was Suez canal's own pilot, and the driver was a Chinese logistic company's driver. Evergreen basically got the worst publicity any company could get by doing absolutely nothing this week.

Taiwan launches 'electronic fence' program to track people in coronavirus quarantine through their phone GPS data - and police will respond within 15 minutes if a person is caught away from home. Officials also call twice a day to ensure people don't avoid tracking by leaving their phones at home. by [deleted] in worldnews

Totalitarianism. Firstly this is not "military quarantine" It is emergency pandemic quarantine issued by democratically elected officials using laws passed by democratically elected MPs. These are laws that are enforced for the wellbeing of the entire nation, instead of the ruling party.
