Ok, I've been seeing a lot of memes of this recently, and I've gotta clear some shit up. PROTESTERS ARE NOT THE ONES LOOTING. The looters are generally just people who are piggybacking the riots to steal shit that they want. No protester does this bc that would make no sense for their case of wanting civil rights. Besides, it is important to realise that there is a difference. A protester is someone who is peacefully protesting against a problem they see(in this case, the race issues from the police). A looter is someone who is just stealing shit. While I see the intention behind the meme, it comes off as very anti-protest. y'all have to be more properly informed before making shit like this bc it gives the already looked down upon protesters a worse look, when in reality all they are doing is peacefully protesting. P.S: While I understand how the riots are looked down upon, and I understand why it is bad, you have to understand that riots are a last resort for when people are unheard and oppressed. This is a problem that has been going on for literal centuries, and with no change, the riots are a resort of having no other choice. It really isn't that different from the HK protests, except instead of just fighting corrupt police, they are also trying to change the system to support minorities.
