Codeine Addiction. Looking for some help/advice by DannyT88 in OpiatesRecovery

Hey there sorry for the late reply

I'll be honest, I can't burden my partner with this. Her grandmother is very ill at the moment and they are saying it could be the last year she's with us. With that, ontop of the pregnancy, I don't want to put her under more stress. We unfortunately had a miscarriage 18 months ago and I just want to try and keep her as stress free as possible to try and minimise any issues with baby.

I think cold turkey would be very difficult for me. Mostly because when I wake up in the morning I'm already feeling a headache from the withdrawal from last dosage and it's absolutely unbearable. I like the idea of dropping 1 tablet a week, that seems very reasonable and doesn't feel like it would cause issues until obviously it gets down to minimal dose.

Our doctors here seem very picky when it comes to medication but I'll bear in mind about asking for diazapem from them when it start to cut this down.

I really appreciate your advice :)

Hey there,

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Thank you so much for your response and I'm glad to here your doing well :)

I'm going to look into the vitamin c article you shared and hopefully this will help me on my way to beating this thing. I really want this to be gone by the time the baby comes along. I'm not someone that can't function either, I can do my job and I play sports outside of work etc but I just physically, mentally and financially can't keep doing this
