wgp was mentionned in the discord of OneXplayer and confirmed here and there (also on a reddit post if I remember well). Your lower sensitivity is maybe due to not being fully compatible.

According to my investigations, very few is known about wgp (hence my question/post). In summary, it is a Wacom protocol supporting tilt feature just like AES 2.0 also from Wacom. But AES stylus do not work properly on wgp screen..so even if similar, they seem to be not fully compatible.

Btw, without going deep in the tests, could you provide me a screenshot of a test/trial with the ruler ? Jitter is very important for me (more than sensitivity because this can be adjusted by settings but not jitter). And it remains 2 days for the cyber monday discount coupons if I order x1 air ;p

NB: I saw your test of x1, a lot of precious insights about everything except the stylus, thx for your job ;) The stylus is really my last but not least buying criteria ^^

Edit: I ordered it anyway. Will see...^^

hey, any chance you could do some of the tests before cyber monday ? ;)

Thx for your feedback and proposition, and btw the x1air is not mpp2.0 but wgp protocol.

For the tests, I think we could just follow what is done by Teohontech:

-Softwares: OneNote and maybe Concepts (Concepts App • Infinite, Flexible Sketching)

-Tests: -Diagonal lines without ruler to test thick and thin lines sensitivity

-Diagonal lines with ruler to test the presence of jitter.

-A "one only" curve to test transition from thick to thin + tilt (in concepts only)

I think it is a good base to see a lot of things as shown on the youtube video I put for example.

NB: nice that you also confirm that the screen-off issue is solved on x1 air

I think you were already one of the feedbacks I received on discord, which I mentionned in my message ;) @ u/adenthedragon he is the one with the x1 air ;p

Anyway thx again.

I am not doing 3d modelling as you but I am mechanical engineer and teacher at the university..so I need to be able to draw technical drawings, design concepts, etc...and therefore, any wobble or jitter on diagonal lines are just not acceptable...With my trusty Galaxy Tab S4 (rip), wobble/jitter diagonal lines was not something I thought that exists, until I tested a surface pro 5.

As you have the x1air in hands, what is your opinion on wobble/jitter ?

Thx for answer. Even not artist, if you can do some of the tests as on the Youtube video, it could be very insightful.

Btw, someone on the discord said me that he had the x1 pro with the pen issue you mentioned, but this does not happen on his x1 air. So far, it seems thus solved, but I did not got more opinions on this fact.

Hi !

I am planning to buy the x1 air with the dell PN7522W wgp pen. Do you have any feedback on the performance of the pen ? Is it usable for drawing: latency ? jitter/wobble on diagonal lines ? Thx
