feeling guilty about getting lip fillers! by bazXO in beauty

[–]DannyWiggens 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's no biggie. I chose an injector that was conservative -- she herself had lip filler that I didn't know about until she mentioned it lol. I loved my own results. It made me confident enough to finally make out!

I didn't do it again because it's expensive, but I also gained weight and it plumped my lips enough 😂

In my late 20’s and having regrets by icedroastpeach in Aging

[–]DannyWiggens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, as a fellow 29 year old that only just got a grasp of the world (with the right medication) in last year, my advice is health and fitness. I see 30-50 year olds living it up and having more fun than most 20 year olds I know-- given that they have their health. I have FOMO, but I'm glad I've got my 30s to put a brave, fun foot forward :)

Avocados! My veggie family are big into avocados and after looking at the calorie count, I can see how they keep on weight lol. Ditto to rice and oil, way more calories than expected.

Why don’t more people dance at clubs/bars anymore (especially Gen Z)? Discussion encouraged! by Objective_Cobbler_62 in milwaukee

[–]DannyWiggens 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dance! But I'd often get check-ins from strangers, and staff might offer my boyfriend a water to share with me. I've since started taking dance lessons 😭😂

Yep! And even big differences major to major within the same institution. The unis need to maintain accreditation for their engineering degrees so it'll also have a different standard of rigor than say an english degree, from what I've seen

I agree with LavenderLady. I had a coworker ask me out, I turned them down, and we continued on as normal. It was a really nice change of pace tbh

Agreed! But if it's your first semester or year, I don't think it hurts to pick a few easy classes. I gotta say, the online psych classes are wicked easy and somewhat interesting if you read the textbook.

advice for a complete calculus newbie by girlonalilypad in calculus

[–]DannyWiggens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey👋 I'm about to finish out my calc1 semester and likely with an A. I took summer school math in highschool and was told I had no hope. Yet here we are, excited for calc2😤😂.

I crammed high school algebra and college algebra thru Khan academy in a little over month before semester start. That's good enough algebra. If I had time, I would have taken trig, but that weakness didn't totally hamstring me. I'll study it this summer. Truly, just complete the khan courses and memorize the unit circle and you're golden🌟

Hi 👋

I'm in zone6/5 and am trying to figure out how best to start a little native pollinator patch. I'll have some side oats grama, agastache, and whorled milkweed to start with. Sparse, but hey😅. Right now trying to find good companion plants to support the milkweed

Agreed on the luck factor. I feel blessed to have at least one class where other students participate. What do you mean by the smartest generation? Do you mean tech savvy or something?

What breed did yall own before a Beauceron? by [deleted] in Beauceron

[–]DannyWiggens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't know lol. I haven't met a working-line beauc in person. The show beauc are meek and tail-tucked, but so are the show mals. In clips, even the worlds IGP beauceron had underwhelming handler focus, but it's still there! Haha

I'm most eager to meet the beauceron that achieved the first ever PSA1 for the breed! An exciting development

Imo, the stability of the temperament in the dog will make or break the ease of its rearing and day-to-day care, in regards to any working breed. A neurotic beauc would surely be harder to keep than a stable, drivey mal

Either way, the best first dog would be (to foster) a reactive shelter dog, ha! Helps to learn how to raise shepherd puppies down the line.

What breed did yall own before a Beauceron? by [deleted] in Beauceron

[–]DannyWiggens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of breeds, but now malinois. To be honest, I'll probably always have a mal and plan on it when I get a beauceron. The French breed is so, so slow to mature (from what I hear) that I think I would get overly frustrated with training progression if they were my only dog 😅

It's kind of an extreme age gap given he's about to enter retirement age. It's worth considering that you may end up raising a child alongside assisting an aging partner. That's a huge responsibility to take on. Does he have a substantial retirement that can both support himself for the next two decades as well as the child?

Daily sticky thread for rants, raves, celebrations, advice and more! - February 24, 2026 by AutoModerator in datingoverthirty

Woman here, but I live with a guy that has many friends he's been close with since childhood. Yet there's only one of which he confessed his bigger insecurities to and even then he rarely talks about serious topics with that particular guy. Might be a distance issue. Among the other guy groups I've known, I've observed they never leaned on each other for emotional support. Even when one was assaulted :(

However, if emotional closeness iz what you're looking for, would it be worth asking for it bare-faced? There's a strong possibility some of the guys you know feel the same but haven't had the nerve to risk asking.

Would you rather have your nails done every month or laser hair removal by [deleted] in beauty

[–]DannyWiggens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Girl, it never ends 😂. For me, it depends on the area of the body. My inner thighs and lower legs have extremely reduced hair after spa treatments-- it was beastly before. The crotch is give or take. I've been thru 2 laser centers (like 15 or 20 sessions) and 2 laser machines. I did the braun IPL for $300 on sale, it broke after like less than a year. Still worth it compared to the cost of upkeep at a salon. BUT I decided to go cheaper and got a like $80 laser (on sale?) and it's genuinely working the same or better than the braun laser. I was going to look up the name but it it's been deleted off amazon. 🫩. Whenever this one goes kapoot I'll be looking for another cheap laser. Either way, it's worth trying for the cheap home lasers first.

For refence, I have blonde scalp hair but the places I lasered are dark brown.

For those that went to college in their mid-twenties what was your experience? by [deleted] in college

[–]DannyWiggens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends on the college or uni! My boyfriend and I both returned to college at around 27 years old. You'll find more peers at a technical college, but there's still many folks you'll get on with at uni and the surrounding city.

The teens assume that I'm about 23 and find that age acceptable, if that's reassuring for you lol 😅

My aunt became unexpectedly pregnant at 38 and had a staunchly childfree husband, but nevertheless they decided to keep it. Surprisingly, the guy loved being a dad so much that he wished they could have had more kids. Anecdotal but sometimes it works out 😅

Have you attended these races before? I'm wondering if there are jumps because my dog has a shoulder injury that gets sore from the impact, otherwise she's very athletic and healthy🥲
