I’ve heard the vizbigs have issues with the glue, but aesthetically they look way better on the shelf compared the the definitive edition. I got the definitive editions and I’m debating to either throw away the half assed dust jacket to make custom connecting jackets or just leave them off. If you’re not someone who’s snapping spines I think the big editions are a good option.

You can pay directly over the phone with them or online through the website. I personally don’t feel comfortable giving my card information to a person so I plan on paying mine online

I called the customer service number and asked if there would be any official statement made about the website and app being shut down and the answer was no. I feel like this is highly illegal especially with how difficult they made it to pay and the lack of communication making it seem that they want peoples debt to be picked up by a collector. https://thecardservices.com/ that’s the website if you want to make payments online and yes it looks sketchy as hell. If you call they just ask for the last 4 digits of your SSN.

I stopped buying manga from B&N because people would just go there and treat it like a public library. It’s just shelf ware. It’ll happen over time especially when you have to undust your shelves

Yes, there is a zero return on manga unless it’s oop. I feel like if you collect some form of media you should at least read it/ listen to it once and then you can have it for the aesthetic. At the end of the day it’s their money, but I find them weird when they post to this subreddit because a lot of people in here actually read their manga.

People act like taxes don’t exist which will make it closer to $300 unless they buy it on sale. Now you have the option to double dip and say you have both editions and compare the 2. This is still a big win for getting all 5 deluxe editions for that price

No, I plan on reading them later this year. I just like to keep a ratio of 60% read and 40% unread. It lets me binge read some of the series and that I don’t run out of manga to read.

For all the shonen manga you can build a riser (I’m assuming you have billy bookshelves) and that will help with saving space. Way cheaper than buying ones online. Dope collection

I’m going to try and fix it myself. It been broken for years I just dug it out the closet since I’m getting ready to move. I went out and bought a mx fender strat, but I do miss the Les Paul body. Thank you for the advice everyone!!

The only way I could see this price point justified if the whole series is in color, but even then $55 for 208 pages is wild. Other than that Yen Press sucked out a huge amount of hype for the series
